Sure, you do get to play the game before anyone else does, but let's consider this.
It is before everyone else. The game isn't 100% done, before they put it on store shelves.
Months before, our job is to bug test the hell out of it. With a crew of several thousand this will be easy for the developers of they get their bug reports or things that could be tinkered, such as if there needs to be any balance issues to be addressed.

With personal experience I hope I can be in the crew so that I can abuse the code as much as possible. I want to try to find everything so that we don't have to be bombarded with patches later on.

I bet the Heirachy is either well overpowered or overnerfed (after it was overpowered)

So either their walkers will be so awful, you just want to kill yourself. Or they'll be so overpowered that you just need to move to the enemy base and you win. :)

I'm pretty sure I'll be in...did the WOW beta for 9 months before it went live, then 2.5 years of retail. Other betas as well. It takes a special breed of gamers to beta test something before it's considered releasable for retail and I think that's why we're all here. I don't mind the bugs and such because if I did, I certainly wouldn't be testing a game. One thing people need to realize is that pc gaming isn't like console gaming where you're building out for one platform and that's it. PC game developers have a two-fold problem; platform issues and balance issues. Me....I can't wait to see the game.

I would say bragging is people stating "Oh I'm the best, I'm this, I'm that.." etc. Beta testing is done with everything, from first-stage to production and even afterwards. If someone can tell you what you want to know that they did in a beta test, then maybe they're not full of ****...if not, then they either have a terrible memory or are full of it.

And so you know, I'm the same Vorlin that wrote HonorTab (http://wowui.incgamers.com/?p=mod&m=856) ... I live for this stuff, hehe... :) loved the LUA language. There's no bragging when you contribute back to the community.

Maybe the guys at UAW will have UI mod abilities too...if so, then that's something I'll be working on.

No matter who you are or what you've done it won't effect if you will get in or not. (unless you have some sort of contact with the dev team.) When applying to the beta all you basically did was give your email. I'm sure their gonna know who you are and what you have done through that

I'm hoping I get in. I love pushing the game till it breaks and send them the video of what went wrong :lol:
