There is no real way to defeat the masari..theyre shields simply take way to long to get through.

Anti-matter tanks destroy the shields, afaik.
Weren't you the guy who just told me there was no way to beat Masari while we played?
Next time you should try a rush. I had too much time to build. (And a new BO where my architects support the citadel for faster build)
Gamereplays has another opinion on this... They tell me all the time the variant was the most overpowered unit and that nobody could stop it.

Being a Strategy Moderator on GR.org I can confirm this. Masari is not imba, at least against Novus, it's the other way around.

Admittedly, a good Masari player can defend well against Vertigo+Variants in the early game, but if the Novus player plays right he can keep the pressure on while he maxes his economy and gets upper tier units like the Field Inverter, and eventually the Gravity Bomb superweapon.

I know a lot of people bring up Imbalance issues with the Masari, but I assure you that Masari are beatable.

i hold 4 rushes with the masari vs a novus player. he rushed me with tanks, flyers, and variants. the only problem i had that my backdoor was open where my resouces were placed (= reactors). One rush there (it was unprotected) and he killed me

i was protected with 3 turrets (without dual turret mode) and 2 skyguardians (with shield)

Ok, your sentence structure is a little weird, so I'm having trouble following, but are you saying that you can or cannot defend against a variant rush as Masari :?:

If you are, I invite you to add me on LIVE so we can test that, 'cause either you haven't played a good Novus player or you're the only person capable of this feat in existence :P

It should be noted that if you had time to set up that many defenses the enemy was hardly "rushing"

the ennemie attacked with loads of stuff and i shot them bits just with 3-5 towers

still they rushed me because i got no troops and they destroy me because i was weak in an unprotected spot

and in another battle i actually won with masari vs the novus
