What do u guys think of the final mission? i though it was made wrongly, the map should be like a triangle sahpe or something, coz u can send units to the side and blast the pecifyier.
btw in the ending, the guy got stuck in his mind in a world that he is powerful? if that's true, i would want that too lol.

Sort of, I think what happened was he was shown the glory he would never achieve, then brought back to reality and forced to remain alive knowing he will never have it.

I admit, that would suck for someone like Kamal.

Heeh, yea i just walked around the side and smoked the purifier too. That alone didn't make the mission real easy though. It was when Kamal decided to try and solo my base. Disintigrator beam= easy end to the campaign.

The end of it was... too... weak. Kamal suicides himself, something that makes his final battle rather pointless. He tries to come alone to your base without any supports (unlike the final Hierachy battle) and that ends the battle even though the walkers in the middle could easily destroy your base when your main force are stuck attacking the Purifier. I agree that the map is made too easy as you can attack the Purified from the sides, but really... a walker and a bunch of zombies aren't really threatning to either you or Novus, and that would make the battle a bit pointless if you can just turtle and mass up an unbeatable army, and the battle after the destruction of the Purified could've been epic if Kamal didn't end the mission by suiciding.

I will have to admit that I actually liked the ending sorta. There is something that for some reason caught my attention, at the end Kamal says that the Hierachy was doing what there purpose was, and that is to remove the weak. Now when he said to remove the weak the first thing that came to my mind was that the Hierachy ran into a race that completely resisted them before earth and was a greater threat than anything they have known and that they are preparing all the worlds to handle this threat. This new threat could be in the Universe at War expansion if there is one.

Guys, I'd like to tell U what I did for this last mission.

Build up base with 8 Guardians and 2 Sky Guardians on North side, another set of the same number on the northeast high ground (the hill thingy near your base) and sent my eastern group of Disciples and one sentry over to Novus base to help, then built thrre conquerors and two Peacebringers, parking them just north of my northern defenses (stay at the lin yoou start with) while building extra Matter Engines and Sky Guardians, the last of which is scattered everywhere to defend against Monoliths. Upgrade everything to max, Tech Light 1, Balance 2 and Dark the rest (make sure U have total 5 completed will processors on the global map before you hit Central America or U will have to make do with fewer upgrades)

Never forget to assign 2 Architects to build each building, and 2 Architects should power up each production building you need. Citadel to start with and Machina and Flight Machina later, 2 Flight Machinas recommended.

Build as many Inquisitors as possible, fly north and as soon as U see the assembly walker on a hill north of your hill-thingy, kill it, Inquisitors have a longer range than Arc Turrets, and I managed to kill that walker and the Habitat Walker due north of my main base losing only 3 Inquisitors (got careless and ordered them like 8 pixels closer than their own max range, which is to the edge of their sight range)

Fly east after the two walkers are dead and kill the Arrival Site. Then go to the northwest corner and kill a REaper Drone, there are 4 unprotected REapers and 2 Glyph Carvers along the top of the map. Kill thm all, then bring your Inquisitors to the top of the highland just north of the Purifier, move them so they can take out the nearest saucers without entering the saucer attack range and they will be able to fire freely at the Purifier if they stay in th middle of the slope edge (top edge of slope, center of edge). This way the Gravitic Turrets won't be able to touch them and the AI will be too stupid to fight back.

Leave 2 Inquisitors there and fly the rest along the old route back, and put them just to the East of the highland you control (the hill).

Superweapon optional. The Peacebringers and Conquerors should now be move to sit and face due north of the fortified hill. Wait for your 2 Inquisitors to get the Purifier down to like 20% health and fight Kamal to the death and then his army later (If you don't kill the Purifier fast enough after it reaches 10%, The army actually rushes you) You could have used all you Inquisitors to kill the Purifier faster, but this way is more fun.

By the way, While You were waiting, build whatever you want, even a ring of Matter Engines around the Hierarchy base (out of range) is okay if you're bored, then wait for the enemy to come and destroy the things to blow themselves up while trying to reach your base.

By the way, enjoy the cinematics. I think Kamal sees himself conquering the Galaxy as a god, then is brought back to reality and trapped in his own mind after seeing himself the defeated one once more...
That would rip him apart on the inside.

I gotta stop these really long posts...
