Alright, So I was plodding along at my own pace doing about a mission a day enjoying the game when I reached, what I presume is the final Hierarchy mission. Now, initially my frustration was high due to the fact that walkers are the most irritating unit invented to pathfind. To 'win' you really need three, which means you need to run three walkers at the same time, and have them all arrive at similar times.
Great. That's fine. I did it, it took me a few tries and lots of frustration since the resources are limited enough that you can only build one replacement walker before you're basically tapped.
THEN, of all the idiotic choices there is the cut scene. I confront Kamwawlwafwr-Rex. Great, I beat it, whoo hoo! Finally! And I even crushed it! I had two walkers left, some infantry, victory.
BUT WAIT; without (and here is my great frustration) an AUTOSAVE AFTER THE CINEMATIC I suddenly find my HERO next to an enemy walker. (Whom apparently 'spawns' after the cutscene) Imagine my distress when I watch my hero die in about 3 seconds, despite being surrounded essentially by my forces and get a game over. Oh, no problem. I'll just load the autosave. Oh wait, the autosave is BACK AT THE START OF THE MISSION, AGAIN.
Talk about immensely frustrating. If you're going to "spring a trap" don't make the player go through a grind of building up forces again. That's just stupid design.
