Monitor the cheaters/hackers

I have seen a lot of people give specific names of users who use cheats and cause FSOD. It would really help if you could somehow monitor these certain users that people keep mentioning constantly.

If you could document their cheats in action then you could ban their cd-keys

there is this guy who has the ability to crash the vega server!!!! its been done and when somepeople try to go to vega rite after enering the online game they immediately have FSOD. The guy doing it changes his name all the time and i think he may be a big time hacker! what can u guys do about it sega?

I'm going to agree with adri. If indeed someone manages to crash the server, you would be disconnected. You probably wouldn't notice it right then, but after everything stops, you will disconnect. It's very unlikely that you'd FSOD.

Look a glitch is wut it says and all glitches have their bad points if u do the duping trick too much eventually the trick will slip up and while ur saving the game at the check room after u exit and dupe the item its a possibility the game will skip and ull be hanging at the save screen forever :eek: ive seen it done too! i saw this guy do it and he disappeared on the spot! i thought he got dc but when i mailed him he was corrupted :eek: :(

Ive never tried this but there may be a legal way to dupe ur items. like i said ive never tried this but its done offline multiplayer and u need 2 memory cards with ur chars on them. put ur main char memory card with all of the weps u love in slot 2 and a data u newly created in slot one. go to multiplayer with the new memory card and transfer the char that has the wep in slot 2 to a temporary char space whn its there DO NOT return it to slot b and then save and turn it off and switch memory cards. (put ur main in slot a) then try it. if u can play with the char thats still transfered and he still has all of his weps then uve successfully duped the weps LEGALLY without glitches or AR(i think.....) then afterwards go back to the new memory card and give all the weps in the transfered chars data to the new char for safe keeping and delete the transfered char (remember do not delete ur char in the main memory card!) if this does not worki will understand cuz i never tried it b4 and i dont mean to bypass the rules of the forum its just a guess...... :wink:

It doesn't work, when you transfer a character, the data left on your other memory card has NO items. So by playing with him you can no longer transfer back data, and you would have to get all your items back from the transfered version. I tried this with my friend.

dupers are the scum of PSO in my book. Im not so much upset about people's hacked items because you can get around that by not using them. Nor about spammers, because just mute your tv and ignore them, or go to another lobby, their 15 there, there is some where else to go to talk to your friends at. Hell i dont mind people who fsod you because if you fall for it, chances are you deserve it because your that gulliable.

No duping is the worst of it all. My mag in particular. I can easily spend around 40 hours on a single mag, and someone else can make that work their own in less than 5 minutes by duping it. I worked hard for my shi.t, and no one should have a right to it, just because of a glitch. The glitch should have been found and report to sega right away before it got out of hand. BUt it never did, so were left with this crap now of everything being duped. Hacked items could have been limited just certain people, who wouldn't give it away, but duping allows all those hacks out there.

Want to change the game? Reset the entire game, EVERYONE, and have no duping. Then you'll see real players. Players with passion, player with their own weapons, you'll see real players playing and having a good time with their weapons they found. You can be proud of a weapon you found, not of one that someone just gave you. Thats wrong!

true i play with a legit chr now, but i still have my hacked chrs, just use them to help ppl lvl & as lobby chrs, or w/e but i found all my rares on my legit or was given to me from friends that are legit & i trust. also i enjoy lvl a che i used in c-mode & cleared it & got my own wpn legit & with my name on it. makes u feel like u have a spl rare no 1 has but u & its ur prized item. i have 7 legit s-ranks heh. all are me prized wpns.

i for a while was with garfield cuz fsod is scary man. sophia if u got a PK fsod that would also be ur work killed in 5 seconds and the people who did it laughing in your wake. but the duping part is messed up as well and isega put a countermeasure on hacking. it makes it so that if u use a ton of hacked items u will never find any rares EVER as long as u use hacks and never become legit. i think this has happened to me offline and im gonna dump my resta merge and my amore rose soon i think the force who gave em to me was a hack.......guess they all go down the drain and ill just use that card......

Here's what happens:
A guy aquires an unreleased item/card (examples: Red Ring and Agito +, respectively) offline. They then bring it online, and they get a 24 hour ban. If the item/card is unreleased, then how do they get it offline? They hack it. There's no other way. They KNOW this guy's a hacker, but they only temporarily ban him/her.
Here's what should happen:
Ban his ***! Ban it good! (S)he's been proven a hacker, so they should ban his/her serial for good. They go through the effort of monitering/scanning (whatever they do) for banned items/cards, why not use this to strike down hackers where they stand?
I posted this here because it fits alot with the topic, and it doesn't really need a new thread.

but see red ring aint bannede. it never was. but yet there has been word for sega that these items are gettable. just on 1 has did it yet. but anyways, as for the 24 hour bann, that is just to keep the items that atr no out or are items like DC items that will never be seen on GC pso server, from getting to the sega severs & getting massed. but there are ways to get items like that w/o hacking or useing a cheat system. but if u banned every1 that used or have a unfeleaced item. then pso would have alot less users & sonic team would lose alot cash they dont have, cuz i hate to tell u this but SEGA IS BROKE!!! they need pso servers to give this some cash & keep there azz alive for a few more years.

ok thx for the info of the cards but i never heard of a hacker in ep3, and the billy hatcher thing is not a hack its an event card recieved when u purchase the billy hatchers game and data is stored on ur memory card beat is an event card as well i have one bacically everyone has one i think and u get that in a game too but im not sure which one....and try sonic heroes too. i think most of the sega games triggers this so the cads u may have mentioned are most likely event cards from certain games and the slime its weaker than a red slime but its a legal card. maybe u need better sources

No it doesn't. Hacking i different in many ways, very many ways. AR is just, add or move a line of coding in a game get an item. Hacking is alot more complex.

Ar and hacking is all the same. put in random codes could mess up games completely just like i did with my gameshark. the code can really cause serious glitches if u dont know wut the code does or wut u are doing. i especially hate multi equip. i mean how would that eventually effect ur game which is proccessing the information to u? u see the code working but how would that affect the spectator in the midst of the bad information?
