I'm sure there is some way to do this...but I'm not sure how.
Since I recently moved to cable interenet I'm not sure if I can set up online. Heres how it looks:
-Cable from wall goes into the cable modem
-Cord from Cable modem goes into back of the computer
I'm thinking that the cord going from the Cable modem to the computer needs to go to the BBA intead. My questions:
1. First of all, am I right?
-If I am, does the Cable modem need to be turned off?
2. What is the correct procededure to hook it up.
3. Is there no way to hook it up?
Also, if you need extra info, we use SHAW for our interent. The Cable modem is a SB5100 SURFboard Cable Modem.
Really appreciate the help.

Well Neo lucky you! lol I pretty much have the EXACT same setup, instead I have a SB3100 Surfboard instead of a SB5100. Lol but Im pretty sure theres a small difference between the two.
Anyways, you ARE correct. The SURFboard should be connected into your cable location (cable box or maybe some other location you just cant seem to find) and (as of now) your SB is also connected to the back of your computer. Instead, you need to connect that cable that goes from SB->COMPUTER and rather change it to SB->BBA. If you wish, use the same cable that you use for the Computer (except you might need to do alot of plugging around and the cable is quite short usually.) OR what I did is buy another Ethernet Cable (must have a RJ55 connector size) and then plug that into your BBA, then just switch the two cables from the back of the SURFBoard.
Get it? If not feel free to Reply, PM or Email me.
Also, for future refrence (since we have the same connection) I left all Internet Settings on the Gamecube (during setup) to their DEFAULTS or AUTOMATIC. (This usually applies to everyone).

Awesome! Thanks, this is good news. Now I'll have to head on over to futureshop. They have had the same ammount of BBA's ther for 6 months as of two weeks ago, they shouldn't be gone now.

Hey, PSOExtreme, do I have to hit the "Standby Button" before I unplug the cord from the computer? Don'y want to mess up our internet connection....

Well I dont have a STANDBY button...and Im sure you dont really NEED to.
But yeah, its always safe to shut off your computer (if you no longer are using it) as well as your SURFboard. Then make the cord change. Then turn on your SURFboard, wait for it to turn on.
Then you can turn on your gamecube...but you should wait for the modem to be fully connected (the power recieve send, and online lights should be on or something like that). Before clicking online game. if you dont your gamecube may fail to connect once and you'll need to re-do it again. Nothing major just a minor hassle.
