View Full Version : Crafting/Synthesis in future PSO games

After having played FFXI Online for a year and obtaining a high level in
crafting, I think it would be really cool to see some form of
item/armor/weapon crafting/synthesis in a future PSO game.
I think it would enhance the overall experience tremendously to be able
to gather items and make things. Recipe materials to make specific items
could be dropped by various ID's similar to how things already are with
items/weapons. You could level up your craft little by little with each
successful craft/synthesis you do. Lastly, if you obtain a relative high
level in crafting you could trade photon drops or whatnot to obtain a
certain item to allow you to sign your name/put your signature on
custom made items thus enhancing the overall trade aspect of the game
as well.
Just my two-cents worth.. ^-^

Hmm...not a bad idea. I can really see this working on a game like this. I think you should also be able to disassemble weapons and armor for parts. Instead of leveling your crafting (or whatever) you unlock/buy better working areas and/or tools.

Hmmm, hmmmmm, hmmmmmmm, I see.

That would however deviate from the simplicity of the PSO series, but...

What if it was implemented into an as yet uncreated game such as Shining Force Online or perhaps a next-gen Phantasy Star game series?
