Does anyone know where I am supposed to register for this trial?

I've searched several forums all over the web, and couldn't find any topics on the demo disc.

Thanks in advance for your help.

It's supposed to be a demo with a level limit of 20.

Problem is that it says it needs to be registered to play...and there's nowhere to register.

(What?! There's no gushing tears emoticon?)

This installer is actually for post beta. Should be more widely available in June, when the Issue is set to hit stands.
(*double checks calander... still April... thought so*)

At any rate, once registration goes live, you can start playing. Until then, play some of the other demos on the disc :).

Wait a sec...If it's schedueled to hit stands in June...

Why was it delivered to my house a few days ago? :?:

Well, if it's the June issue, I would imagine it's a matter of distribution. Not a big deal though, just going to cause some confusion among people who get the issue early.

I have a strange feeling that you are sitting behind at least two computers.

One definately has to have PSO:BB playing on it

Sorry to bump this from page two, but it's not that old yet so I figured I'd respond before it gets even older. Not sure if you are aware of this, but magazines always ship, on average, one month before their shelf date. (At least in the US.) The June issue of CGW should be hitting store shelves this week. I checked yesterday, and my local grocery store had the June issue of EGM already, but no CGW yet.

Anyway, can you confirm that the PSOBB client on the CGW disc will work for the Open Beta? I'd be nice to pick up a copy this week so I'll have the game ready to go as soon as you open registration.

I'd like to know that also. It would be easier to buy it already on a disc than to bug my neighbor into downloading it with his broadband connection for me.

Yes, the CGW PSO BB client installer will work for Open Beta, and yes, I'm aware of how magazines ship early (was just making a joke ;)).

If you have access to the CGW client, you can install and launch the game, but unfortunately you will not be able to access the game content until the registration site is online. Once you launch the game, you can patch the client, I'm not quite sure how large the patch is, but it wouldn't hurt to grab it now in preparation for the beta launch.

If someone is willing to upload the game client before I go and buy that magzine, I'll sent the uploader $5 via Paypal.

I'm more interested in the patch, actually. Where can we snag that, Orchid?

If someone cares to upload the file to ftp://gamefiles.blueyonder.co.uk/incoming/ - I will happy ask my friend at my ISP to mirror the client.

If not bittorrent would be best.

:D Yay, a small price to pay to avoid downlaoding.

Could someone tell me the File name/size?

So that means that if I have the demo then I only get to level up to 20? bummer that won't last long.

In the US Beta you should be able to go to whatever level you want. It's not a "trial" so there shouldn't be any restrictions on playtime or levels and such. Since the actual Beta hasn't started yet I can't say for sure or not though, but it's very likely to have no caps on anything.

I get CGW in the mail, but for some reason it never has a disk. I emailed them and complained, lol.

If I have to, i'll buy a newstand copy just for the disk.

Ha, good luck.

I've gone to the store every day this week waiting for them to get it in stock, with no luck yet. I would've put it up for download on my site if I could've gotten it already. :-(

well just so y'all know the disk that comes with it is a dvd-rom so if you don't have a dvd drive you can't use it.

I downloaded it last night and installed it after burning it to a CD.

I was happy to see it running but angry when i couldn't get online or register.
