Just a question, what will be the difference from the Beta and the release of PSO:BB? Or will they be the exact same? If thats the case, I think that we should be able to carry on our character(s) to the release of PSO:BB.
Just a thought I had. What are your guys opinions? Or is there something already confirmed about this?
the retail version will most likely include more content. If not, it will be patched.
Note that the beta client will be patched to retail version.

Expect ALOT of patching during the beta process (nothing like waiting 5 minutes to get on the game XP) when the final version comes out they'll have schedualed server mainternance.
Oh and expect to magically loose levels aswell =3

Why would there be a lot of patching? As far as I can tell, this "open beta' is just a stress test and a trial to see how much interest USA has in PSOBB. Japan has already beta tested this game and worked out most of the bugs. There is little for Sega's USA division to do other than server tweaks and translations of quests.

Beta testing is when we get to play most of the game, report errors, and the errors get fixed in the patch to retail.
Oh yea, it also serves as free advertising.

Like BlueFiberOptics, I don't think there will be as many bugs as in a usual beta, becuase PSO:BB has been out for a year already in Japanese. I suspect that there will be some translation problems, but there were on the retail console versions of the game (beat it offline and see, "Every Hunters of Ragol,"). Messed up translations aren't even that bad though.

Well translateing errors like you all said might be there, and finicy people might want to fix those. There might be a slight change in programming and they probably just want to test the game as much as they can on US grounds. Regardless, I CANT WAIT....*burp*...'scuse me
