If the Game client is available in CGW Magazine, then why isn't it available on this site at the moment?

-I don’t have dial up, but I’m sure that dial up users wouldn’t mind having a few days to download this :P

-Also, it would give us a chance to have everything ready (installation, option settings, cute icon for us to click on while we’re waiting for the 10th).

-Finally, do you want everyone to download on the 10th? I don’t think that Sega’s severs can handle 200 downloads of over 300MB and provide good speed at the same time, it’s gonna be Matrix city.

I think that the game client should be uploaded ASAP for all of these reasons and more, what do you think?

The client will be a very quick download if everyone goes to download it via torrent on the 10th. I'm not getting it off of HTTP/FTP, as transfer speeds will probably be a bit low.

Though, if it's included on the CGW disk...

The download shouldn't be posted early, as a reward for people who manage to get the client early, so they can jump on right away.

June CGW should be hitting stores very soon now, because Zinio finally has the digital copy available today. (Cover has Quake 4, and "WTF?" on it)

I'm sure someone who buys the magazine will have an unoffiical torrent up before the 10th anyway.

not untill the 10th but if you use the disc version you will also have to patch the client before you can get in. This is dont within the client anyway when you try and connect. as far as i know anyway...

I wouldn't mind being able to download the game a few days early, even if it doesn't work. The thing is, my connection isn't the best... so it's nice if I could have it downloaded, and ready before the 10th...

Yes, downloading a few days early would be nice.

The way around that, of course, if it won't/can't be done is to do like what was done with the JP Beta - The download wasn't available until a few days AFTER the Beta started - People got the client by downloading an .iso of the CD that came in a magazine via bittorrent. Though then you get into legality issues... Not so much with the client, which is free anyway, but with pirating CGW's CD, which of course they want you to buy. XP
