You can make a list using TagScanner (http://www.download.com/TagScanner/3000-2141_4-10354245.html?tag=lst-0-1) or Winamp. You'll also have to upload it to a site.

Here's mine: http://www.angelfire.com/games5/ddrpictures/allmusic.html

I know it's mainly Electronica and Soundtrack right now, but I'm gradually expanding it with different genres. =)

Why would I do this? I listen to Boards of Canada and Halcali and MIA and I don't NEED a program to generate a list to let everyone know about my taste in music when I could just sit here and get compus exus from lots of guys because it is just so GOOOOOD

You don't have to if you don't want to. It's mainly just something to do for fun.

Yes I would like to have fun too! Since I can't get on PSO ¬_¬ and also I don't have any legs so my life is pretty empty you know.

But I don't think posting lists of music is very fun! Surely it just gets boring trying to read all the names of a thousand mp3s?

I just find it interesting knowing what kind of music other people listen to, that's all. Plus I'm always on the lookout for new music.

J-Pop, baby. As well as a whole lot of Mandarin music. I'm just not a hip-hop kind of guy...or songs with English lyrics kind of guy. Although I listened to Linkin Park back in the day.

Ayumi Hamasaki? BoA? Asian Kung Fu Generation? Yeah? No? Oh, okay.

Eclectic list you have there, Niten.

I tried to use that prog but my list is just too ugly to post...most of the song names are in 日本語 so they don't display right...but it DID tell me I have 2,162 songs, 136hours of music. The scary thing is that it's almost all Morning Musume and Hello! Project stuff. I'm trying to figure out when it was exactly that I stopped listening to death metal and switched almost exclusively to music designed for teenaged girls that live on the other side of the planet...

I have mainly game and anime soundtracks in my playlist, because I'm too lazy to download music <_<; (I get stuff off friend's mp3 CD's and such)

I listen to DDR music (nerd), punk rock, 80's rock, rap/hip-hop, house (mainly Om artists), and video game music. That's about it for me. Pop is okay, too. Same with Metal.

Thanks. I used to have all of my Chrono Cross and Xenogears songs in Japanese, but then I got tired of them crashing my audio programs. =p

Just got home from a run and was listening to the new Jimmy Eat World cd in my car (it's my baby, my 1993 Honda, not Acura, Integra...complete with Hello Kitty head rests and seat cushions). I just saw them last month on their Japanese tour in Shibuya...awesome show!

Btw, that tag program is great! Very helpful...I have a huge mp3 collection. What else do I have...a ton of j-punk, some OCEANLANE (great Japanese emo band...if you like Jimmy Eat World or Dashboard Confessional, definitely pick up), the ubiquitous Ayumi and Utada, some Gwen (because she's the BEST)...some Franz Ferdinand.

Yeah, I listen to a WIDE variety of music.

...some Franz Ferdinand.

That CD is on my "Want List". I'm also thinking about getting some CDs by Ayumi Hamasaki and Utada Hikaru (great singers).
