Okay, so this is a pretty easily explained issue.
A) I've done this quest two times, once as a host, once as a participant
B) We go through the map, activate the monument, and go into the boss
C) I've done it two different ways: Taken the red warp back to pioneer 2 without going into the ruins, and gone into the Ruins 1 then returned to Pioneer 2.
The key point is that the seal is open. The ruins are open. We've even gone in and left a path of destruction before talking to the principal, but it never suffices. What on earth is going on?
I saw someone suggest that the person having the problem go to the three levels in their own quest and activate the monuments there, but I'd like to believe this isn't true (assuming of course I haven't activated the other monuments, which is enormously unlikely.) In the unfortunate event that it is, can someone who has a good memory point me to the appropriate quests where I'll find a monument (or does it even need to be a quest?) so that I don't have to spend an entire day going through each one.
Lastly, once this question is answered in completion, we should probably add it to the de facto answer thread, since it seems like lots of people are having this problem.
Thanks for you help everyone, see you in BB :)
