View Full Version : What weapons have the widest splash bubble?

I'm interested in knocking people around and then splattering them with something else. Lightweight with a wide knockaround bubble (or lots of overlapping little ones - i.e. rockets), and fast muzzle velocity would be the ideal combo.

The idea is to find a nice hybridized wheelie killer that has faster velocity weapons for other purposes.

HE-60 rounds for all the weapons increase the splash bubble.

That aside, I've found Espadons and Fauses have a decent splash bubble. HW200s and HW300s have a wide splash bubble. Matars and Ghymias (sp) have smaller splash bubbles.

But, this is nothing more than speculation on my part.

any howitwer with a 90 HE shell will give you the widest spash area. but zaha is right, 60's do the best overall when it comes to anti hound use.

90's have the widest splash radius meaning youll feel the damage from farther away

60's have a smaller splash radius but do more damage within that meaning you wont feel it from farther away but when you do feel it its gonna do more damage than 90s will....

so....although 90s do more damage on impact and have better range with splash, 60's will strip weapons much faster than 90's will.

questions?

Huge cannons have a wider area of effect than howitzers...for whatever that's worth.

Well at that point you're skipping the jab part of a 1-2 combo and just dropping a refrigerator on him.

Hmm... although the Sal Kar one is pretty light IIRC.

Just remember, for the 90 rounds, you get more kickback than the 60 and 30. So you might want to stick with 60s for anything that isn't on inverse or quads. (Unless you use a chip that gives you alot of extra stability.)

Espadons have the biggest splash bubble hands down.

Any of the Tarakian Howies are good bets.

If you can hit your target >75% of the time then us HE-90, otherwise stick to HE-60.

I may actually try mounting a single cannon and then mix it up with something else. Seems like the only time you see huge cannons is on overly specialized hounds.

Yeah, I had a good time using a single :):):):):):):) with HEAT rockets today. Then I tried the heaviest single cannon. I may go back to the :):):):):):):) but it seems easy to pop.

I'm one of those personal preferance guys... I prefer Faus over Espadons because of higher damage, higher durability, straighter and faster ammunition travel(attributed to its longer range), and we've tested it before - they do have better stripping splash than espadons even with out direct hits.

Also, not to sound whiny, why even talk about howie's on this topic... Don't we all know that huge cannons have greater splash bubbles than anything else anyways?
