Just out of curiousity, why did you pick the names for your Blue Burst character(s)?

For me, Torma was the name of a character in a game I was playing when I got PSO on the GC. The name just stuck to my FOmar since. Celes is from my favorite Final Fantasy game, obviously.

I think its a combonation of Zell from FF8 and Lloyd from Tales of Destiny.

Guncon is the name of the Light Gun for Playstation. It was also the name of my first character for Dreamcast.

Envy is the only sin that, when used with a Hunewy gives you a purplenum ID.

I thought up Blues because I wanted to make a Blueful RAmarl. Blues just happened to work.

Nova is my real name.

Nova v.2.1 got her name so she'd have the Pinkal section ID.

Kiddo is a Kill Bill reference.

Miss Spell is a FO, so you can figure out the rest.

Kaya - I wish this would have been my first choice. Its from a japanese band's lead singer, Kaya. Very pretty man. Look up Schwarz Stein if you would like more.

Yura - This is also a J-rock reference. I don't particularly like the singer as much as the name.

Amee is actually one of the main characters from a story I'm writing (see my website at http://home.comcast.net/~jeremybuege/ for more info if you're curious). I've named several characters in other games from this same source.

"Chicken " has the space for Purplenum purposes (without it, I would've had a second Skyly), but the name comes from "The Chicken" which I've used as an internet handle for years (and subsequently modified to "chocobochicken" when I needed something more unique). Back when I played old modem games of WarCraft II with a friend, he chose "The Destroyer" as his name. I thought this was horribly cliche and contrived, so I used "The Chicken" as an antitype name and it stuck.

my first char was skysin, Sky Sin being my name for the wyern form (final form) of Sin from FFX. (whom is ownage fyi)
so when I made my skyly hunter I called him sky (since I was being called that) and swords, since that was what I obviously would be hunting of skyly. skyswords.

and that's pretty much the two chars I've been able to keep alive.
on gc I had some of these:

LT-Master - LT was Llednar Twem, a char from FFTA that I liked, master..was..I guess..just arrogance :3 :P cuz it gave my RAcast pinkal id..lol..I didn't even know what id's did back then.

rarezeeker - obvious

najltm-srz - I always hated that name. I made the char out of fun, then it started to be my best char so I couldn't delete it. each of the letters stand for some rpg chars names that I like,and rearranged for skyly id.

Magus2002 - the name I've been using since I first started posting on forums and such (which, I assume, was somewhere back then) and magus is my favourite char in chrono trigger,which was my 2nd favourite rpg on snes, which was also one of the first games I ever played.

Aros (and usually something more) - it's acctually just a short version of my full name, it's also Sora backwards, which I think is a cute name, and it looks like Ares, the roman god of war fyi :3 (also known as Mars)

TruCha/TruChi/TruCha Red/Blue etc - Tru is the first part of the name of a girl I loved, and cha is just a cute typical japanese anime expression :3
and it gave the id I wanted.

Calaz - Can't really remember what this was translated from, but the word originally translated to Kalas, so I changed the two letters because I didn't want people to think I took the name from another game.

Akemi Chii - Akemi's meaning in Japanese is brightness, beauty. Perfect for a HUne. <3 Chii was added to get Pinkal on DC v.2 - chi is energy in Chinese, so eh.

Kumiko - actual meaning is braid, but the name is 'eternally beautiful child'. Very extravagent.

Ryuuhei - I didn't know this name till I read Battle Royale by Koushun Takami (& I didn't really even like the character - but Kazuo is crazy/hot). I'm not really sure of the meaning, except 'ryu' is dragon, & 'hei' can be a shortening of 'soldier'.

Lilly - I wanted a different name for Purplenum, but it was one character too long. @_@ So, I had to find another name in a hurry since I had a friend waiting on me w/ stuff to transfer. So, I picked this one. I don't really like it.

Delirium, my unlisted Huney was taken from The Sandman by Neil Gaiman but was chosen to fit in with the whole D theme

My first char amanda was the only one i named just out of the blue for no reason, When i finished making her i looked at her and amanda came to my mind first and made her. The rest of my Chars are videogame chars family members or in life refrances. My BB chars when i make them all FUjin is from FF8 B.B.Hood from Darkstalkers(I think cusae i first saw BB on marvel vs capcom 2.) and Suicide king after the king of Hearts.

Shadow_: I wanted Shadowmaster but that was too long (12 characters while PSOBB only allows you to have 10), I then tried Shadowlord but I ended up getting sucky IDs, so I settled with the name Shadow_ (_ is to get ID I want) even though it is a common and boring name.

AC.Omega.: AC stands for Armored Core which is a game I like, and Omega comes from an insanily hard boss in the final fantasy series (Except for FF10 though, Omega's p*** easy in that).

Terios: Terios was kind of like Shadow's (From the Sonic series) beta name.

Neosimus.: Neo ofcourse comes from the Neo in the Matrix movies, but since that was again a common and boring name like Shadow I decided to add a jumble of letters to the end of the name and got Neosimus.

His name was Mamrou, a mispelling of Mamoru that i didnt catch until a while later and i didnt want to rename him. Archimedes was/is the name of my main D&D character ive played, an elven wizard. I like the name so i decided to change the name.

Maya - my Racaseal that I almost never play. I picked names at random until I got the ID I wanted.

Ashura - Japanese for 'shadow'. My brand-new Fonewearl who's only like level 4. More random name picking until I got the ID I wanted.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and my bboard ID. Talisantia is my oldest handle which I've used on dial-up BBS'es and webpages since I was 15. It was the name of my favorite D&D character, and one I've used for a character in just about every RP I've ever participated in since then.

There instead of saying "HIYA" they'd make you say "US" and not like "us' as in a 1st person group of people, or US as in USA, but kinda more like "OOS." A few years later for no reason whatsovever me and my brothers started to refering to each other as MR.US. I dont know, it sounded hilarious. When I played phantasy star 2 again about 7 years ago, instead of naming ROLF something lewd like I'd normally do me and my brother wanted to name him MR.US. Unfortunately in that game names could only be 4 letters long, in which MR.US was cut down to MRUS. After you go into the 2nd town in that game you get the strongest character with a gun, named RUDO. Of course we werent going to name him RUDO, so me and my brother tried to think of a name, and i crap you not the same unsaid logic went through our heads. Thinking: he is blonde. combine blonde with MRUS... (both saying out loud now) "OMFG NAME HIM BRUS" at which point we both started laughing. When pso was coming i noticed ramar could look at lot like RUDO so I named him Brus. Thus me looking like RUDO from phantasy star 2.

We also use the word "Brus' interchangably with "asskicking"

DarkEpyon - I've used this name since early-2000. At the time I'd started getting into Gundam Wing, after having played Gundam Wing: Endless Duel on the Super Famicom. Epyon was everyone's final opponent. I liked the name, and the mecha. So, to stand out, I tacked on "Dark" in front of it do describe my dark sense of humor.

WOLKAISER (HUcast) - From the currently running Sentai series in Japan, Mahou Sentai MagiRanger (magic taskforce MagiRanger). WolKaiser is one of the combined forms of the dark magic knight Wolzard and his horse, Varikion.

Excellen (RAmarl) - After Excellen Browning, one of the characters from Super Robot Wars Original Generation.

ZEOTA 3.0 (HUcaseal) - After my GC HUnewearl. Zeota is an EXTREMELY rare female name.

On DC PSO, I wanted a character that was good with all sorts of handguns, but the male Rangers didn't look like Ryo Saeba from City Hunter. The RAcast was too bulky and square, and the RAmar didn't look buff enough. That's why I went with the HUcast, even though I couldn't find a good head for the body.

Pakwan is my nickname from DDR Freak and this forum. It means "watermelon" in Tagalog; there's a long story involving DDR.... :oops:

I named my Yelloboze RAcaseal "unpopular" because...well, look at her. If Bumblebee the Autobot and Velma from The Mystery Machine had a love child, it would look like my little "unpopular". :shock:

Incidentally, I had other names for other characters on other versions of PSO. On DC and GC, "Pokgai" and "Cynan" would get Pinkal, so my forces were always named one of those two. Pokgai is a Cantonese swear word that's NOT censored by the word filter, so it works. "Cynan" is my real name. Finally, I had a RAcast that was minimum height, maximum width, and was jet black. I called him "webster" because he was short and black...and because "webster" was a Purplenum ID. :lol:

whenever I make a name people always think i get it from something else, my first ever pso character was named Cell. Just because I thought the name sounded cool, then every 5 mins someone in the lobby was like 'OMG I LUV DBZ 2!!!1' so i changed my character...
I then made a FOnewm named 'Fingles' this came from the name of a character in a comic that me and smackeh drew back in what? 7th grade. It was prolly the funniest comic ever, and really should be redrawn. So it was perfectly fitting for a fonewm. But i had that char back on DC and GC
