Request for plot spoilers (SPOILER ALERT)

Hey folks, I was wondering if you all could help me with a minor dilemma. I've played through the new Episode 4 quests up to the last one. The trouble is, I'm losing the desire to play the game, and even though I'm curious to know how the current PSO story ends, I can't bring myself to play through 9-8. That, combined with the fact that its hard to get a normal mode party together, mean that the only way I'll learn how the story ends is to have it told to me.

So, what happens in 9-8? I would be grateful to anyone who could tell me the story of this quest, including how it ends.

I got no idea.

The cutscences arent very well done here,they leave too much unexplained and you are left wondering WTF is going on with the meteor,etc.

Basically,you catch up to rupika and leo at the red crater hole area,with the end of each level showing a cutscence.End of desert 1 : bernie is telling ash they need to leave,ash says they need to save the girl,bernie is cycnical probably because he lost friends this way,and he tells ash hes naive......after that you arent told what happens to them,whether they try to continue or leave.

Second level is leo's daughter and that robot guy,with the daughter saying shes going to help her father,and gives some tidbits on the MOTHER project.Predictably,she doesnt do anything at all.

3rd level,kireek and sue have a small argument and they set off to save rupika.Naturally they dont do jack :):):):),and only sue shows up at the end after you kill the boss to talk to rupika and teleport you back to lobby.Kireek mysteriously never shows,and sue for some reason seems to think she helped you kill the boss.

At the red crater area,rupika suddenly turns into this light,that goes into the crater.Leo,for some reason,becomes really confused now.....he becomes a weak man and doesnt seem to know whats hes doing there or whats up with the project,etc.He of coruse,doesnt help you with the boss.Montague and elenor is there at the crater,but again they are just posers.

They do decide to continue. Bernie tells Ash that it's too dangerous for them, and that they should leave it up to Montague. Ash tells him to stop his nonsense, and that they have a life to save. Bernie tells him he admires his naivety and admits he's become a shell of his former self.

They then continue to the dangers ahead, and they're never seen again. >_>

Sort of on-topic, my HUnewearl is on 9-8 on Normal mode now. I tried to solo it last night, but it just got too late & I got a migraine mid-way through. @_@
