time for me to make a c-mode character

what is the best id for a c-mode character?

i was always told that purplenum was the best section id for c-mode because on the later stages it has the highest probability of finding mech guns and it usually has maps with less enemys which means better times, is that true?

as for the poll i did c-mode on v2 with a HUcast but i think that the extra ata and evp of the HUcaseal would be very useful in c-mode.

thanks for the input 8)

C1-C4 Hucaseal. Reason: High ata is a godsend in the early challenges. You start with garbage weapons that miss ALOT! Only HU that can use handgun or autogun effectively without lvl boosts or arm units. Hucast has a tendency to miss a lot unless you are lucky enough to find a high hit weapon.

C5-C9 Hucast. Reason: Devastating power with just about any saber weapon. Only HU that can kill gillchics using a L-H-H combo with default brand in C5 without the aid of shifta. Can equip sabers fastest amongst all HUs without need for lvling. Every other HU must lvl before wielding a nice buster or pallasch. There is no more devasting entity in the game than a HUcast with high % pallasch in c9. Too fun!

I prefer HUcast because I am a purist that feels HU's should only use melee weapons. Using guns or mechs just feels akwards to me. Only sissys that can't melee and run out mates quickly use guns.

As far as section ID is concerned, there is no correlation between the ID of the game and the quality of the maps. I have logged thousands of hours of c mode time on both the dreamcast and xbox and have never ever noticed a pattern or trend in the section id of the game and the item drops or waves of enemies. It is purely helter skelter.

In addition, you will never find any concrete evidence on any pso website showing the trends of section id and c mode map making. If you do find something I would love to see it because it simply doesn't exist. Anything you hear is purely speculation.

all depends

in c2 for instance the best team is 3 fonewearl and huc/hucsl some even play with ranger for hit dim weapons with 3 foneys.

best c mode char for hunters is hucast, because even tho in c1-c4 their ata is lower than hucsl once they find the hit weapons like brand that they need, they rule.

Hucaseal with autogun can be very destructive but it usually takes a lot longer for that item to drop, where a high % brand can have hucast combo 2 swipe kill c3 c4 .

in c5-c9 hucasts have a big advantage once find hit% buster/pallasch, tho again hucaseal can be devastating if their rarer gun drops (sometimes needing to find arm to equip)

Overall hucasts have much lower times (pso gc jp) than hucaseals, mostly because hucast weapons of devastation can be equipped right away.

Easiest char if your proficient at it, is force.

You don't need to aim for a particular Section ID for C-mode. Whether Section ID affects maps/drops in C-mode, I've not the foggiest (I'm pretty certain they do though), but there will be times you'll get good/bad maps/drops. It can't be avoided.

You'll be spending the bulk of your time avoiding getting hit, instead of using evade as a risky last resort. Hucaseal's may have good hit, but the faster time will be gotton meleeing. Which brings me to the Hucaseal's downfall, they use the female saber swing. Male's do a quick stab, while Hucaseal's take a slow swing with it. Done from the side of say a Booma, you'll usually have some time to move away or go for another hit, if the first or second misses. Hucaseal's are supposed to be good at daggers, but you generally don't want to keep taking hits like that - or risk leaving yourself wide open.

And really, the gun/droid approach would be best done with a Racast. They can use guns as well as rifles. Given the chance they can usually equip a saber soon after a Hucast.

Usually we don't care about who's prettiest for c-mode ._.

HUcaseals win either way.

For time attack or genkai (2hrs 45 mins) its Hucast, for an easier hunter to play for s rank time (under 7 hours) its Hucaseal.

Yeah, I think HUcasts are better for the later Challenge levels beacuse they kill faster.

HUcast have the better saber animation.

hucasts can equip buster and pallasch right away.

Only sissys that can't melee and run out mates quickly use guns.

just one problem... HOW THE :):):):) DO YOU SWITCH FROM HUCASEAL TO HUCAST!? How? theres no way. so there. you're retarted.

Here is the magical, mysterious, and amazing way I switched between characters for my c moding:

When my squad wanted to do c1 to c4 I would sign on with my HUcaseal. However, if they wanted to do the latter stages I would (HERE'S THE TRICKY PART) sign off and then sign back on with my HUcast.

It's really quite amazing. I hope my instructions were not too complex for you Leif.

Holy blap, you can log off?!!

Man, I thought this game seemed a bit long!
