Question about rankings?

Why is it I can not increase my stats with heavy gunner? Im using twin big guns from the DLC, it seems to register me as a sniper using these than a Heavy gunner why? Sometimes it also registers me as a def, is there an error in the system?

Not really, sometimes it registers you different depending on what you did, I have a HVG myself and have gotten points for scout because I Combas hopped capping them as I went. So i think its what you do and what weapons you do it with.

the way to get major points in the heavy gunner skill is to destroy the HQ from as far away as posable i can get about 2000-2500 points in one match easly :D

It seems to score the points on what you do, Killing at long range nets me sniper points, killing bases nets me HG points, having an NA Maker nets me TC points - not sure on the other 3(guessing taking combas towers nets scout points?)

and killing other hounds gets you points in solger about 100-200 per kill

Something else is being used to choose sniper or soldier for hitting enemy hounds, I think it is distance. I often net Sniper points with my HVG hitting Hounds outside of range 500.

it also depends on what you hit the target with
i have found that depending on the type of wepon and range and where the shot lands will get you different points
