1.17: So if I get the Japanese version, how can I pay the online fees?
A: Currently, if you try and register a non-Japanese Credit Card with Sega Link (who handle online registrations, more on this later), you will encounter various errors. As such, there is no official way to pay the online fees for the imported PSU, with any non Japanese Credit Card, yet. If you have access to 'Netcash' cards (available in convenience stores in Japan, and through limited suppliers in the United States, such as a 7/11), it seems that you are able to 'top-up' you Japanese account with such.
Thoughts?

We'll probably get a free month or something, I'll use that, then play Story or Extra Mode if someone doesn't come up with a way round this until the US version comes out.
Then I'll get that and it won't be a problem.

True, but if its anything like BB sign up, you have to have correct CC information in order to recieve even the two weeks free. :(

Yeah, but you could download BB free, whereas most online games with a subscription that you buy boxed come with some time free.
Then again I could be wrong, but eh.

3.6: Will there be a free trial period of online play? Or a demo version?
A: For the JP version, no. Infact, your initial 30 day period will cost you more than any subsequent months. There is also no knowledge floating around as to a 'demo' version. It is not known if there are any plans for this to work differently for the NA/EU releases.

Ah, good idea.. I hadn't thought about the possibility of PayPal.
I tried to find somewhere over the net to buy NetCash, but I couldn't find any places ;-;
it seems you can get one directly from
http://net-cash.jp/purchase/index.html
but I have no idea as to:
whether the card is physical or virtual (from what I've read it seems to be virtual if ordered online)
them accepting other currencies (I think they may only take yen)
how you pay for it (what cards they accept, etc)
whether there are any clauses in the agreement that prevent non-jp people from buying (I doubt they'd be as easy going as sega >_>)
sooooooo....lots of ifs and buts :/

I suppose they've had issues with credit card fraud from importers in the past. A majority of credit card fraud cases originate here in the US, so I can't say I blame them. They can't keep us "filthy gaijin" out entirely.

You can buy netcash with an american creditcard. But ONLY if your card is on the "verified by visa" program. Other american creditcards just wont work.
