That Sega actually implements a descent anti-hack, and actually looks into people who are duping & hacking. maybe (and hopefully) they will take psu a little more serious the pso.

Itd like to take this opportunity to state that there is a DIRECT connection between the number of players and the service it gets.
If thousands of people play PSU on a normal basis, yes we will get a much better quality game service (looking into duping/hacking etc).
If there is only the PSOBB community (plus or minus a few) on there, we will get the :):):):) end of the stick.
(sorry for the profanity, but its true.) 8)

I am pretty sure, especially that ps2 & pc servers are connected, it's going to be a great out turn. look at pso on xbox, dc, & gc. all had great amount of people. not many people even know about psobb. i did the beta back in the day, but just came back a few weeks ago.

PC Version uses nProtect GameGuard, but im sure its coded way more securly, i mean PSOBB was pretty secure after all.

Well are far as fixing exploits they have done some improvements in that area... but what you got to realize two things with PSO:
1) The coding they been porting for the last 5 years.... is exactly that. 5 year old coding. At the time of development patching was not exactly a top priorty when PSO was developed, I'm quite sure. And patching at least what I remember on GCN was almost impossible.
2) Each time they ported they have made SOME improvements with their coding. In BB they DID manage to fix a several of the exploits and glitches. And even though many glitches still appear here and there. It's still no GCN verison. You don't have FSODs or corruptions or other forms of destructive glitches. Not even the item loss glitch compared to some of that.
PSU is a new game, with a completely different coding. A coding that is probably more secure (I'd hope >>) or at least not difficult to patch when needed. Your never going to have an anti-hack proof system and as people know it's not always easy to make the cheaters disappear. What Sega has to do more then anything is keep it updated as soon as those exploits start showing up.

I agree with what you're saying, but technically a "anti-hack proof system" would be a hacking system that cant be stopped.....

PSU will be hacked, count on it. If meseta is as valuable as I understand and there's enough people playing, also expect to see chinese currency farmers. Gameguard is useless if the demand is high enough, and still won't stop people from using scripts.
On the + side, they can be quite hilarious when they try and insult me on FFXI.

Currency farming shouldnt matter on PSU, its like on PSO, the stores have set prices for items, so really, all currency farming would do is get a individual stuff from the stores faster...

umm dude think ur in the WRONG kind of online game talking about chinese farming. Chinese farming like in WoW EQII FFxi ect.. is something to be worry but psu.. is like pso its not a massive world ppl share. ur in a group of 5 in its own lil game. but gameguard could do better like what the other MMO's r using.. with :):):):):):):) and the other geeks that dont know what a puzzy is r yet again gonna ruin it for us legits. I mean the damn kids website is still up with more illegal shiit then it use to be. but yet again SoA show us no improvement to stop this
