which game is better? Soul Calibur 2 vs. Virtual Fighter 4

I have to say Soul Calibur 2. Weapon based fighters are more entertaining to me. Not to mention that the Xbox version has Spawn as a special character.

and SC2 sold the most on GCN, consider almost 100,000 more than PS2 and GCN is like 1/4th of PS2

while VF is a tech better fighter, SC2 is way funner. VF is an EXTREMELY deep fighter for people who want to put the time in. SC2 is a great game where any beginner can do remotely well as long as you ve played some fighters before.

I vote soul calibur 2 just cause its easy to pick up on and less frustrating.....

Soul Calibur 2 because I don't have a ps2 and I never played Virtua Fighter 4 so I don't really know if it's as good as Soul Calibur 2 and I wouldn't be able to play as Link in VF 4.

Soul Calibur II is amazing. It has incredible graphics detail, and a myriad of moves. It also has the lengthy and deep Weapons Master Mode (though I like Mission Battle better). Despite all of this though...Virtua Fighter 4 just plays better. Virtua Fighter 4 has a deeper combat system than Soul Calibur II does. Virtua Fighter also has more fluid combat that is more hectic...also I have my predisposed SEGA bias...but still...my vote goes for Virtua Fighter.

Soul Calibur's advanced move are pretty hard to deal with... I still havnt mastered Ivy's ultimate grab yet... I can do it but can't really use it effectively in a battle

I think soul cal 2 wins this poll because its more accessible to rookies. dont get me wrong, i think its a better game, but i think it was good fun for pick up and play gamers.

yeah soul calibur is the easier of two and more of the pick up and play type game, but if I'd to base it on hardcore gameplay, it's pretty much virtua fighter hands down.

I have the Gamecube version of Soul Caliber 2. I played with Link and all I could get him 2 do is throw his boomerang. The command list didn't help at all so I changed the controls. Now I rock. SC2 rocks! Ferget VF! :twisted:

If your comparing virtua fighter 4 for the ps2 to soul calibur2 for the x-box, hell yeah sc 2 takes it.

If your comparing virtua fighter 4: Evolution to soul calibur 2 for the ps2...
