Mech Assault 2 Looks Good... I Gotta Get It

I just got my free OXM in the mail (w/ no demo disc :( ) and i saw a big spread on MA2 and the new features. First i gotta say that this game looks incredible.... on Halo 2's level of incredible, the detail in the game is nice and the battle armor is incredible. Aside from the graphics it seems the game will be the same... more of a arcade feel but with alot more things. I know the emphaisis on this game won't be the mech... it seems the battle armor will do most of the hurt. Hi-jacking mechs and actually going inside those buildings to steal documents and stuff is a nice idea. Im glad the story isnt so linear this time cause the story in the first one was kinda boring... but this time they're goin all out with Full FMV scenes and a really deep plot.

The offline aspects seem good but the online play is where im most interested. They doubled the amount of players can be in this game (before it was 8 now it's 16) and with all the new stuff they put in like tanks, VTOL's, BattleArmor, Turrets... it's gonna seriously be war online. You got planes bombing, turrets going off, people hi-jacking mechs all to destroy your base and steal powerups... damn... and i thought the first one was tight enough. Plus there's clan support (thanks to xbl 3.0 aka tsunami)so i think ill be needing to build a clan for these new xbl games.

They did debut one new mech though... for anyone that played this game befor just think of it as a corvus but with 2 machine guns & a flamethrower. I know i'll be messin' people up in one of those... especially those damn ragnarok players.

Thise game is one of my most wanted now.. my top 5 from microsoft are

1. Halo 2 (of course)
2. Mech Assault 2
3. Phantom Dust (looks like it's on some volcano high ish)
4. True Fantasy Live Online
5. RalliSport Challenge 2

XBL is gonna be sweet in 2004... as long as there's no delays im good.

I didnt read the whole thing but i glanced at the xbox live options for a few seconds. Defintely sounds much more deeper and strategic than the first one. Add it to the list of quality already dropping this year.


They really shafted people out the demo with the free magazine. NG is a bad @ss game.

I can't wait for this one ether, and thats a shame you didn't get the demo disk, the NinjaGaiden demo is WAY fun, more fun than I had thought

If this game is ANYTHING like the first, my faith in MS as a game maker and publisher will be shattered permenantly. Same goes for Sudeki

Hmm...

Mech Assault was the shyt when it dropped. Most of the fun was online tho so if u wasnt online, i can see why u didnt exactly go ga ga over it. This 1 is deeper though. Defintely check out the oxm, or jus wait til E3.

Its not a shooter with mechs anymore.

Im picking up the OXM mag today for that ninja gaiden demo so now I can see for myself what cameron has been tellin me about all this time. I sooo cant eait. oh btw, im also picking up ESPN NFL 2K4 as well as the mag.
