the ports were crap and most of all sold crap, besides people that didn't want to buy a dc in the first place don't deserve to play any sega games, a big middlefinger tot hem!! :evil:

I wouldn't expect Sega to rerelease Shenmue...heck, I'm still wondering if we're gonna see a third game in the series.

But hey, the little movie they put together wasn't really that bad; I wonder if they'll do that with Shenmue II, should we ever see a Shenmue III.

There has been talk of a speical edition, that would be released soon after Shenmue 3 that would have all three instalments and some new features, This, i think, would be a really good idea because very few have played the first two, and this may get people who maybe didn't but Shenmue 2 because they didn't buy the first one, to buy all three, with can only be good for Sega, besides, it would be awesome to keep all your progess from game to game, which is as it was originally intended to do :D

Shenmue II sold poorly on Xbox, so they obviously don't want to waste any more time or money on a port of a game that most fans have already played anyway.

The XBOX version of the game came with the Shenmue DVD which was the same movie released in Japanese theaters a few years ago. So there is no real need to release the Shenmue game. Besides, SEGA doesn't have the resources to waste on porting over a game that complex. Rereleasing a Sonic game is no big deal but porting over that sort of game takes time. It took AM2 over a year to make the Shenmue II port for the XBOX and they actually improved the resolution and load times. A direct port of Shenmue would just take too long.
