It was that weird marketing campaign with http://www.beta-7.com done over the summer about some so-called beta tester who started having random blackouts after playing a beta of the game with their first person football thing. It was a very very interested marketing ploy and sega had big brass balls to pull it off, too. There were physical beta copies of the game shipped out to about 10 people claiming it was from that guy then with sega sending them letters demanding the beta discs back. The ads over the summer were designed to look like public service announcements, telling people to "stay away from NFL 2k4". It was one of the strangest, but most clever marketing schemes I've ever seen.[/url]
