Prologue

It was before Pioneer 2 started it's journey to Ragol. Pioneer 1 has just told Pioneer 2 that Ragol was a suitable planet on which to live on. 2 hunters went out to check on the residential area of Ragol. Just then they see a warrior in the distance, watching over all the native animals of Ragol. They opened fire with their handguns at the warrior, thinking that he might harm them. Both of the hunters' plasma shots streaked past him, making him wonder what was going on. The warrior looked back and saw the two hunters with their guns drawn. It was then that he had no choice but to fight them. He got out his legendary Dragon Slayer Sword and charged right towards them. He was coming so fast, the hunters couldn't get a good shot at him. In an instant, the hunters were dead, after a long, devestating swipe through both of them.

Pioneer 1, still awaiting the arrival of the 2 hunters they've dispatched, have gotten visual on Pioneer 2 as they came closer and closer to Ragol's atmosphere. Suddenly, near the Central Dome, where Pioneer 1 was stationed, an explosion of great magnitude shook Ragol. The explosion was seen by Pioneer 2, and that's when the communication link with Pioneer 1 was lost. Without hesistaion at all, they halted Pioneer 2 in deep space and trying to figure out what has just happened of Ragol. Some questions now linger:

What was the strange explosion caused by?

And who was that warrior that killed the 2 hunters?

Could there have been some human life on Ragol in the past?

Find out.

Chapter 1

Aboard Pioneer 2, Principal Tyrell paces the room in frustration. "What are we going to do? Communication ties with Pioneer 1 have cut off so suddenly. Why? What happened on Ragol?"
He looked out the window and stared at the planet Ragol. "What caused that explosion?" he thought.
He turned around and ordered two of his messengers to come forward. "Yessir, what do you ask of us?" they both ask him.
"I need you to bring me a hunter back here. I have some very important tasks for the hunter when he or she gets here."
"Why must you do this, Principal?"
"Ragol is full of animals that may pose a threat to us if we were to send an investigation squad down there. We need someone to neutralize any harm on Ragol before we may settle down there."
With that, the messengers left, without saying a word to Principal Tyrell.
"I hope they find some hunter with a great potential in saving us," he thought.

Chapter 1 Part 2

Meanwhile, in the residential district of Pioneer 2, laying on the grass of the park, 2 people stare to the outwards of the cosmos. One was a hunter and the other was a force. The hunter, wearing white armor, white kilt, and white shoes, was dozing off under a tree, while the force, wearing a white/pink dress, was sitting next to him. The hunter's name is Basher, and the force's was Brittany.

Basher, a lvl 73 HUmar, stands as a stunning six-foot-one. His bright, yet a bit dull, blue eyes are not really noticible because of his hair covering the right eye, and partly the left. His orange hair is pulled back into a ponytail, and always has his Pian mag hanging around with him.

Brittany, a lvl 61 FOmarl, stands beautifully at six-foot. Being the girlfriend of Basher, she goes everywhere he goes. Her sparkling blue eyes are the first things that people notice about her. You can barely see her hair, since her head covering practically covers almost all of her hair. But the longest part of it comes out an opening on the bottom of the covering. Her shiny blond hair is also another thing people notice. Basher says she's an angel from above, because she always has her Angel Wing mag right behind her.

"Man, I'm bored. We're stuck here in space, until the task force that Principal Tyrell sent out to Ragol finishes investigating. What are we supposed to do?" Basher said out in the open.
Brittany looks at him laying in the grass. "What do you mean by that?" she asked him so sweet.
"I mean where do we go if Ragol is not the place for us? Did we come all this way for nothing?"
Brittany looked up into space, looking at Ragol. "I don't know. Surely not. We wouldn't have come here for nothing. We're going to live on Ragol, and that's that!!"
"Are you sure about that? The task force was dispatched months ago. I wonder what happened to them?"
"They must be holding out on us!"
Just then, the messengers that were dispatched came towards them. "What do they want?" Brittany whispered to Basher.
"We have heard much about you two." one of the messengers told them. "We need your assistance. Principal Tyrell is waiting for you."
Basher raised himself up, "For what?"
"Our task force was eliminated a while ago. The Principal didn't bother addressing that to us, but he gave us the command to search out a hunter to investigate Ragol. That would be you, fellow HUmar."
"What about me?" Brittany asked.
"You are a Force. We need a Hunter. Besides, you are no use to this mission anyway."
"Don't you be talking to my girl like that, you hear?! If she wants to come with me, then she will, got it!!"
The messengers stepped back, fear striking them. "Ok, she can come along with you. But what good is she?"
"She helps me in a lot of ways, and also she never leaves my side."
The messengers let him do as he wishes, set down a telepipe, and ordere them to go through it. "Let's go, Brittany," Basher told her, as Brittany grabbed hold of his hand, then went through the pipe.

Chapter 2

Pacing back and forth on the floor, Principal Tyrell stares out and takes a look at Ragol, with one troubling thought in mind. "What has happened to my daughter? She was with Pioneer 1 when they landed. I just hope that explosion didn't take her life."
At the corner of his eye, a telepipe opens up, turning his attention to it. "It's about time."
His messengers appeared first, then Basher and Brittany. Tyrell took a look at the ones his messegers brought. He saw Basher, then looked towards Brittany, and his anger began to blaze. "What in the world is this?! I thought I asked to bring me a hunter! Not a hunter and a force!! Especially a female! What is she doing here?!"
"Sorry about that sir. It was by the interest of the hunter to bring her along," one messenger brought up.
"What?! Is this true, you hunter?"
Basher, unphased by the principal's anger, stood still and just looked him in the eye. "Yes, sir. It's true."
"I see. What good is she for you anyway?! Don't you remember what you learned back in the Hunter's Guild?! Forces are recorded as the weakest class out of Hunters and Rangers! They can't defend themselves, can't attack well, and their accuracy is way below average!"
Now fire raged into Basher's eyes, turning his blue eyes into death red. "Then you must not have had any futher study then, Principal! If you were to research into the Force class, you would know that Forces serve as support to both Hunters and Rangers! As a matter a fact, my girlfriend here can do just that! She helps me increase both attack and defense and lowers enemy attack and defense! She also can do heavy damage techniques to bring me and her out of tight spots! That's why wherever I go, she comes along as well, got it!"
Silence filled the room, leaving the Principal completely speechless at what he has just heard. But something puzzled him about Basher's comment. "How do you know all this? Have you gone down to Ragol yourself?!"
"No, sir. You were the one who wanted a battle simulator erected in Pioneer 2, whenever a case like this would happen. That's where me and Brittany would go and train. By the way, my name is Basher, and that's Brittany."
"My mistake, that's why you know all this."
"She does, too. She's been doing extensive research on all classes: Hunter, Ranger, and including her own class. Isn't that right, Brittany?"
Brittany wasn't ready to actually speak about what she learned. In fact, she wasn't even aware that she was going to get into the conversation. "Ri..right. I..I've been reading about all three classes on my spare time," she stuttered.
"Well, what did you get out of it, Force?" Tyrell ordered, as he glared at her, making her more tense then before.
"I read that out of the Hunter class, they can attack greatly and have their attack power enormously high, higher than any class. They're not meant to use techniques at all. Just only some that would help them, like Resta, Anti, Zalure, Jellen, just to name a few. The Ranger class hardly ever use techniques. They just get into a safe position and just fire away. They also prove to be of the support category, as well as the Force class. The accuracy levels of the Ranger class is, by far, the most impressive I've ever seen! But just like the Forces, when they're alone and surrounded, there's no hope for them. So I've narrowed down which class can hold on its own. First, the Hunter class. Then the Ranger class. And the Force class comes in last."
"I know mostly all that! But if they're grouped together, then that'll be no problem!" Tyrell argured.
"Don't be too careless, Principal. It doesn't always go like that," Brittany continued. "Hunters are ok, by themselves or in a group. Forces and Rangers couldn't really. So the only best group to create is one that consists of two Hunters for close-range combat, a Ranger for long-range support, and a Force for all-around support. One group having only just one class present a problem. Hunters can't hit enemies from far away or in the air. Rangers can't get a good shot if his enemies are too close. And Forces, as you said before, have bad defense and attack power. So just putting them all together makes it a formidable team."
Now Principal Tyrell is more wide-eyed than ever. "How come I never knew this? Of this knowledge that you just spoke to me about the three classes?"
"She's an over-acheiver, and that's why I like her," Basher told him.
"Alright then, I'll let her come with you."
"Thank you, Principal Tyrell," Basher commended.
Principal Tyrell walked back to his desk and sat in his chair. "I need you to fulfill a favor for me, you two."
Basher and Brittany walked up to his desk. "Yes, what is it?" Basher asked.
"An investigative team of soldiers was dispatched two months ago, and we haven't heard a word from them since they arrived on the surface of Ragol. I want you both to search out Ragol and try to find any survivors from Pioneer 1 and also the investigative team. Report back to me once you find any information."
"Yes, sir, Principal!" both Basher and Brittany acknowledged.
"And there is one other thing.....I ask of you to do."
"What's wrong?" Brittany asked.
"My daughter, Rico, was onboard Pioneer 1 when they landed on Ragol. She's a skillful hunter. She's my only daughter! Please find her and return her to me, please!"
"Will do it, Principal. We'll both find her and return her safely back to Pioneer 2," Basher told him.
"Thank you. Messengers! Show them to the main teleporter to Ragol."
"Yes, sir!" his messengers replied, as they walked to the circular teleporter leading to downtown Pionner 2. "We better follow them if they go down there. That might not be the real one going to Ragol," Brittany told Basher, pulling him towards the teleporter.
"I know! I know where the real teleporter is! If we lose sight of him, I'll find it," Basher replied back and they beamed into downtown.
They saw the doors open right before them, revealing the main teleporter. "Alright! Let's go!" Basher yelled, as they both headed into the teleporter and beamed to Ragol.
"Good luck, you two. You'll be needed it," one messenger said right after Basher and Brittany beamed.

Chapter 3

They both take the teleporter that led them to Ragol. Once the came out, they found themselves in the forest. And in front of them, they see both hunters that were killed. Brittany tried not to look, because it was making her sick. "Alright, time to get to work, Brittany. Finally, we get some action for once."
But after a few steps into the forest, they couldn't take the humidity.
"Man, why does it have to be so muggy here in the forest! I mean, we are not near the ocean, are we?" Basher puzzled.
"How should I know! I don't have a dang clue of where we are!" Brittany replied back to him.
"Great, they should tell us where we would be transported. It would make a whole lot of sense. Let's just get to the top of that hill and find out where we are, alright."
Brittany just nodded her head, while trying to swat away bugs with her cane. "Man, I sure wish the principal could of given me some bug spray," she thought.

Meanwhile, not very far from where Basher and Brittany stand, the mysterious hunter lurks to find and kill anymore intruders that might harm all the native animals inside the forest. "There is no way anyone could get past me. It's totally impossible," the hunter thought.
The hunter came along a dirt trail that leads into the heart of the forest. He looked towards the direction of the center and found both Basher and Brittany, looking and probably, in his thoughts, hunting down the native animals for food. "Intruders! They must be after all the native animals here!" the hunter wondered. "No matter, I'll make sure they won't get a chance!"

"Well, all I know is that we're just in the forest. I can't see an opening anywhere," Basher told Brittany, as she joined him on top of the hill.
"Hey, wait! Isn't that the area where Pioneer 1 was stationed over in the distance?" Brittany told him.
"Where?"
"Over there! Near the mountain range!" she pointed out.
"Oh! Hey, you know what, you might be right! C'mon! Let's hurry and see if there's any survivors!"
"Yes, let's go!" Brittany replied to him, as they both descended from the hill and started their journey towards the station where Pioneer 1 was.

"So you think you can escape from me, huh? Well, you're wrong. Prepare to meet you doom!" the hunter said very lowly towards them.
The hunter jumps from limb to limb off of every tree, keeping close chase behind Basher and Brittany. "Where are these two going?" the hunter wonders. "Do they know I am following them? Are they luring me into a trap?"
"Hey, look out!" Brittany shouted, as they both halted in place.
"What the heck is that?" Basher puzzled.
A booma blocked their only path to get further and further into the forest to Central Dome. Then, 2 Goboomas came in to join.
"What are they doing?" she asked.
Basher pulled out his saber, and the mysterious hunter caught sight of it. He had no choice but to show himself to protect the native animals from them. "Stop! Intruders!"
Both of them turned back to see where that came from. They see the hunter emerge from the trees, and pulled out his Dragon Slayer Sword, and swung it at Basher. "What the....oh shoot!" Basher shouted, as he defended with his saber.
"What do you think you are doing, harming these animals of Ragol? What business do you have here?!" the hunter demanded of them.
"We just want to know what happened to Pioneer 1, who landed here earlier. Have you seen or heard of them while they were here?" Brittany asked.
The hunter gave no comment, but focused his attention onto Brittany, pointing his sword at her face.
"Hey! What do you think you doing?" Basher asked him furiously.
Before the hunter could answer him, a booma came and attacked the hunter and pierced the left arm armor. He reacted by cutting off the booma's arm that pierced him, and the arm fell to the ground. "See! These things are dangerous!" the hunter shouted at them.
"Well, some environmentalist you are?" Brittany critized.
"Well, anyway, do you want to help us out?" Basher asked the hunter.
The hunter stared in disbelief. "Why would I stoop down to your levels and help you out? You don't compare yourselves to me, even if you two were combined together!"
"Ow! Hey that was very mean!" Brittany whined.
Basher, filled with anger and rage, picked up the booma's claw and tried to jab the hunter, but he was too weak, it didn't even scratch the hunter's armor. "Hahahaha. That didn't even itch! This is like icing a cake for me, you fool!" the hunter gloated, as ice crystals formed around his arm.
"RABARTA!" he yelled as ice shards started to shoot from his body.
Basher was picked off of his feet by the devestating blizzard. Brittany tried to melt the ice with her Foie, but that didn't work. She was frozen solid. "Hahahaha! You see, you guys a mere playthings in my hands. There's no way you could ever defeat me!"
With that, he disappeared, leaving the gobooma's to handle the rest. Before the gobooma's had a chance to attack, Brittany's mag cracked the ice and used it's photon energy, Farilla, and a large pink serpent formed above her head. "What the heck is that?!" she thought in amazement.
With a loud cry from the serpent, it circled around her and emitted a tornado of energy, killing both goboomas. Once the dust settled from the attack, she rushed to Basher's aid and gave him a moon atomizer on him, reviving him instantly. "Ugh....my head. Is it me, or is it getting really really cold out here?" he asked, shaking off bits of ice crystals.
"Hey, what the....what's this thing? Ewwww.....it's so gross!" she gagged.
"What? Oh, this thing? It's the claw of that animal that attacked the hunter. Eh, we'll bring it as proof once we get back from here," Basher replied. "C'mon, let's hurry over to the Central Dome before those monsters come back!"

Chapter 4

While walking towards Central Dome, Basher's thoughts began to creep in. "What was with that hunter? Why did he look so innocent and yet tried to kill us? Is he hiding something I should know about?"
"Is something bothering you, Basher?" Brittany asks, while walking right next to him.
"Huh? Oh..nothing. Nothing at all."
"Are you sure? It looks like you are in my eyes."
"Nothing. Just thinking about if they're any survivors here. That's just about it."
Brittany smiled at him, then focused her attention on the front door that lead to the inside of Central Dome. "Hey, look at that!" she pointed out.
Basher took a look at the front door. It's been broken into, charred in the middle with electrical sparks flying from the sides of the door. "It looks like they tried to escape from something. But what?" Basher investigated.
Brittany investigated the middle part of the door. The hole was about the size of Basher. "Whatever it was, it's really really big. Do we have to go in?"
"Yes, we do, Brittany. There may be some people that might need our help. C'mon!" Basher told her, as he rushed inside.
"Hey! Wait for me!" Brittany called out, running behind him.
Suddenly, the hunter ran to the front door of Central Dome. "I saw them run inside here. Why? I must find out," he thought, as he following close behind them, trying not to be heard by them.

Inside Central Dome, hallways were charred black on the walls, wires were hanging from the ceilings, and fires ran amuck in the control center. "I don't like it here! I want to get out of here! Right now!" Brittany whined.
"Ok, if you don't want to come along with me, then we'll find a safe place for you to be in until I'm finsihed investigating."
They both navigated the hallways, and came to a room left unscaved. "Here, this is a safe place for you," Basher told her.
She sat in the chair, next to a bed, and looked out the window. "Are you going to be alright?" she asked him, concerned.
"Of course I am. I just hope you will too. I'll be back, alright?"
Brittany waved to him, as Basher went out the door, in search of any survivors in Central Dome.

Chapter 5

Basher continued walking inside Central Dome. "What caused all this to happen? This was where Pioneer 1 was stationed," he thought, as he looked around.
He caught sight of some rolls of maps on a table. He walked over to it and tried to find out what Pioneer 1 was looking at. "These are maps of Ragol, but some look like they lead underground. Underground?" Basher continued thinking, not knowing he was being watched by the hunter he encountered outside the building.
"There must have been ancient life here before. Way before those monsters me and Brittany fought back out there. What's hiding here in Ragol?" Basher said to himself.
And before he could take the maps and walk back to Brittany, the hunter jabbed the blunt-ended handle of his Dragon Slayer in the back of Basher's head, knocking Basher out cold. His eyes were wide open, but he couldn't see anything. "I can't allow you to know of my homeworld's past. It is secret, and it shall not be rediscovered by mere citizens as yourself, hunter. I had no choice but to do what I did, for your safety," the hunter said to Basher, then disappeared with the rolls of maps.

Back near the front entrance of Central Dome, Brittany was laying on the bed, looking at the ceiling. "Man, Basher's taking a long time. I wonder if he's found something. Something very useful and informative about this planet. That would really help out in this time," she said softly to herself.
But with her eyes focused on the ceiling this whole time, she became real sleepy, and closed her eyes. She was fast asleep, just like that. Suddenly the hunter came inside the room, unnoticed by Brittany. "She is asleep, but I can't take any chances. She may find out what has happened once she awakens from her slumber," the hunter said quietly to himself.
He looked around the room and saw a canister of knock-out gas nearby him. "Excellent, that'll work perfectly," he snickered.
The hunter released the pressure of the canister, and the gas began spewing out into the room. He closed the door tight, so that none of the gas escapes, then left Central Dome. Brittany woke up and noticed that the gas was overfilling the room. She's already enhaled some of the gas, but she tried calling Basher's name, but it didn't work. She was up and trying to find an exit. The door leading out of the room was shut tight so she couldn't escape. She began coughing, tyring to get some of the gas out of her system, but it was not enough. She's already consumed too much gas. Her body became weak, that she fell onto the bed, with her face in the pillow. She was knocked out by the gas.

"It was for the best. They shall not find out of Ragol's dark secret, which rests underneath the surface. Not again....," the hunter said to himself, then returned into the forest.

Chapter 6

Everything in Central Dome was silent. The knock-out gas canister was empty and the majority of the gas inside the room where Brittany is in disapated. In the control center of the building, Basher still laid motionless on the ground. He blinked his eyes and returned back to normal. He got up on his knees and looked around. He put a hand behind his neck, trying to sooth the pain he endured from the hunter. "Man,....What hit me?" he said to himself.
When he looked next to himself, he noticed that the map scrolls were gone. "Where'd the maps disappear to?!" he said, frantically.
He searched everywhere it might've rolled to, but he still couldn't find them. "Drat! Whoever knocked me out, must've took the maps for himself. Probably that hunter me and Brittany encountered earilier. Wait a minute.....Brittany!!"
He rushed over to the room she occupied herself in and found some kind of tool. One used for welding 2 seperate pieces of metal together. "Brittany! Are you in there?! Are you ok?!" he called to her amidst his panic.
There was no answer coming from the other side of the door. Basher pulled out his trusty Black King Bar that he got from his parents a while back and started breaking down the door. "Hold on, Brittany! I'm coming in!!" he called out.
He broke down the door and saw Brittany, knocked out on the bed. He rushed over to her, turned her over, and tried to wake her up. "Brittany! Wake up! C'mon!" he repeated simutaneously.
Brittany slowly opened her eyes to see Basher's face. She immediately embraced him. "I thought you'd never came!" she cried.
"Well, the fact of seeing the door welding shut prompted me to check out what happened while I was knocked out."
"You too? I was knocked out as well!"
"By what?" Basher questioned.
She pointed to the canister. "Somehow, that thing released knock out gas into the room. I tried to escape but the door wouldn't open."
Basher thought for a moment. "Maybe it was that hunter. And if it is, what's he hiding from us?"

Chapter 7

They both walked out of the room, with Basher still thinking of some of the possibilities the hunter may be hiding. "It might be him. He didn't seem to appreciate our appearance on Ragol. But on the other hand, it could of been someone or something else," he thought.
"So where do we go now?" Brittany asked him.
"We have to keep looking around here. Maybe we can find some things that'll lead us to Pioneer 1's disappearance."
Then Basher took a look at a directional sign on the corridor wall. One particular location sparked something in his head. It read:

Ragol Caves Area 1-3 --->

"The caves, eh? They may not be dead. They might've taken refuge in there from something," he continued in his head.
He looked at Brittany and said, "They might be in the caves. Let's go check it out!"
"Are you sure it's a good idea to go there?" she suggested.
"Don't worry, Brit. If you're afraid to go in there, don't be. I'll be with you to protect you. But we have to continue this search. We can't turn back."
She sighed and walked slowly with him to the entrance to Area 1 of the caves in Ragol. "I always wonder why I decided to come down here," Brittany said in her head.

"Ragol Caverns Area Zero One" the loudspeaker called out.
The door opened and a burst of heat flew into their faces. "It's so hot in here! It's even worse than the forest!" Brittany complained.
Basher seemed undeterred by the intense heat of the caverns. He began walking into the caverns, with Brittany trailing behind him. There wasn't much light illuminating the caverns, just the glow of the lava flowing from the sides of the rocks. "I told you this was a bad idea, Basher," she told him.
"What makes you think so?"
She pointed to a huge dragon walking with it's wings closed on a plateau across from them. "It doesn't notices us. We just have to be real quiet and slow to move around it," Basher assured her.
They crept slowly from the plateau they were on and onto the ground, inching closer and closer to the dragon. It would seem that they would get by real easily. But right when they were behind the dragon, Brittany tripped on a rock and fell to the ground, creating enough noise to capture the dragon's attention. It looked back and gazed at Brittany. Basher saw that the situation wasn't going to end well. He ran to her, grabbed her hand, and began to run from the dragon, just as it blew out a fire'like laser out of its mouth. "That was a close one! Hurry, we got to get out of its sight!" Basher told her.
They ran inside another set of caverns and hid under a crevace. The dragon followed into the cavern but lost sight of them. It looked around the cavern, scanning each area. When it was finished, it gave out a loud shriek that pierced Basher and Brittany's ears. And with that, the dragon returned to it's plateau.
Basher and Brittany crawled out of the crevace and brushed themselves off of dirt. "Why didn't you at least attack it?" Brittany questioned him.
"We're here to investigate, not to kill. I'll only kill if we're cornered."
Brittany didn't want to continue the subject, even though they didn't say much, but she knew he was right about that. "He isn't a person who would kill for fun. If matters got worse, and me and him were cornered, then he would kill any opposition, in order to keep me safe....," she thought, as she looked at Basher's eyes, which showed determination and fearlessness. "Maybe that's why I love him......"

Chapter 8

They continued walking into the caverns until they came upon a large, lava-filled area. "Huh....I bet Pioneer 1 was going to make big bucks in the tourism department, if that's what they were aiming for here," Basher said.
The area looked a bit suspiciously large. A bit too large for a cavern. Large cracks in the rock spewed huge amounts of magma into the lava pool. The temperature was hotter in there than all the others. "Could we please hurry up out of this place?!" Brittany complained to Basher.
"What are you afraid of?"
"Maybe one of those dragons will come and attack us again."
"Don't worry about it. I got you covered," he reassured her with a smile.
They reached the middle of the area when all of a sudden, more of the dragons from before flew in behind them, letting out their ear-biting screech. Basher looked back to see the pack of dragons, while Brittany covered her ears. "So they want more, do they? I thought they were done looking for us," he said to himself.
When he returned to look in front of him, another dragon blocked the only entrance to get to the other caverns. Basher, knowing that they won't be persuaded by words, took out his Black King Bar and readied himself for a battle. He stayed in his battle stance and only moved when either the dragon attacks or when he attacks. Brittany let go of her ears and looked around. She saw Basher ready to fight, so she got up to him and readied her Caduceus wand. "I thought you didn't like to fight, Brit." Basher asked her, with a hint of sarcasim.
She looked into his eyes and said, "I'm not letting you take all the fun. And plus, if we go down, we'll know that we went down together."
Basher smirked then returned his focus towards the dragon pack. "But I want to help out the Principal first before I die. So I'll make it happen for us!" he thought.

Chapter 9

With Basher's Black King Bar ready for use and Brittany having the Caduceus wand prepared, It looked to be a spectacular fight. "Now which one of these dragons should we take down first?" Basher said out loud.
From the pack of 3 dragons, one of them flew up and towards them both. Basher looked back, gleaming his eyes towards the dragons. He jumped to come face to face with the dragon's jaw, twirled his bar, and struck it on the forehead with an unstoppable force. With that hit, and propelled Basher a bit higher and gave him another chance to lay down another attack. He took the advantage and quickly struck the back of the dragon with the same amount of force than before, sending the dragon to the metal bridge, crashing through it and into the lava pool. Basher landed back on the bridge, crouched down and with his back turned to the other two dragons, leaving him completely exposed. One of the dragons came and tried to lunge at him using it's jaws. "Basher, look out!" Brittany called out to him.
Basher looked behind him but was a bit too late. He got bit by the dragon almost halfway into his stomach and back. Brittany focused her energy, charged up enough light energy, and cast a massive Grants spell on the dragon. The dragon lit up like a new light bulb, then quickly exploded. 2 down, and only 2 more to go....

Chapter 9 Part 2

"No one's going to kill my love!" she yelled, as she casted a healing spell on Basher.
And just like that, the teeth marks that put holes into his body were instantly gone. His body was unscared. "Thanks for that, Brittany," Basher commended.
Brittany looked at him, "No problem, Basher. Anything to keep you alive."
Basher returned his focus to the last of the three dragons and regained his stance. But before he could attack, the dragon took flight, to a point where Basher can't reach with his Black King Bar. "Dang! He's too high up!" he said to himself.
He put his bar away and unholstered his Varista. "My only long range weapon. WHy does it have to be so weak?" he thought.
He aimed high towards the neck and shot a round. It struck the neck of the dragon, however it didn't phase it one bit. Instead, he drew attention to it. The dragon dove straight into Basher, but he stepped out of the way. On the other hand, the dragon crashed through the bridge and burned just like how the other dragon fared. "Wow. Strong and stupid," he said.

Meanwhile, Brittany was taking care of the last dragon that blocked their path. "This shouldn't take long," she said.
She charged enough energy and turned a faint yellow. "It's her electrical spell. One of her most powerful spells she's learned!" Basher said, under his breath.
Brittany raised her Caduceus wand up in the air and lightning bolts became attracted to it. She aimed her wand towards the dragon, and hundered of bolts struck it, leaving the dragon's corspe to smoulder in ashes. The smell of burning dragon scales was really unpleasant to both of them. "Let's hurry up and get out of here!" Brittany said to Basher, covering her nose.
"C'mon!" he replied.

They left the gigantic lava pool area, and came across another elevator heading down another level. "You mean there's more to this place?" she said.
"I guess so. Pioneer 1 might be down there. Let's go," he commanded, as he walked in.
Brittany followed him in, and the door closed behind her. They both felt the elevator begin it's desent further into the caverns of Ragol. "How much more farther do we have to go down?" she asked.
"How should I know?"
Then the elevator came to a quick stop. The loud speaker came on, "Ragol Caverns Area Zero Two"

Chapter 10

Brittany braced herself for another blast of heat when the door opens. However, when it did, it was a cool mist-like breeze filling the elevator. "This is the second area of the caverns?" she asked in awe.
"Guess so. Completely opposite from the last area, that's for sure," Basher answered, as he walked out of the elevator. Brittany followed.
They walked into the first cavern, which consisted of a small little pond and also a small waterfall. "So beautiful, don't you think, Basher?" she asked him.
"Looks like a vacation spot to me."
They kept walking down a narrow white path, only wide enough for 2 people to walk on, side by side. Brittany locked her arm around Basher's as they kept walking. "This should be our romantic getaway place. It's a nice and peaceful scene," she told him, gazing into his eyes.
"It sure is...."

Their journey through the second area of the caverns reached to a large room that showed a rainbow protruding from 2 waterfalls on opposite sides. Brittany's eyes were half-way closed, but Basher was wide awake. "Can we rest here? I don't think I can go another step without falling asleep," Brittany asked.
"Why not.....We'll take up camp right here. How's that?"
She smiled, "In such a beautiful area, how could I say no?"
Basher came to one side of the area, walled with rocks, and sat down, with the rocks providing his back support. Brittany took off her hat and placed it on the ground. With the water from the lake, she washed her hair to give it its yellow-like shine back. Basher finally felt the effects on battle fatigue, then slowly dozed off to sleep. Brittany grabbed her small towel that was inside her hat and dried her hair. A few minutes pass and her hair was completely dried. She placed her towel back in her hat, but she didn't put her hat back on. She left it there, next to the lake, and noticed Basher asleep. She walked up to him and sat next to him. Feeling tired, her arm locked into his arm yet again, placed her head on his shoulder, and feel asleep.

Meanwhile, back on the surface of Ragol, the hunter returned to Central Dome. "I wonder if they're still knocked out. It'll give me time to eliminate them, before they find this planet's dark secret. The one I banished to the abyss a long time ago......"

Chapter 11

The hunter came inside the building, and to his surprise, he noticed the elevator shaft door was wide open. He was shocked, "The fools! If they're going to open that sacred door again, who knows what'll happen to my planet!! I can't allow that to happen again! Not ever again!!"
He rushed into the elevator shaft room and pressed the call button for the elevator to come up. "It took all that I had and a bit of luck to banish the evil darkness into that sanctum! I don't want to repeat that performance!" he said, furiously to himself.
The elevator returned to the surface and opened its doors. The hunter walked in, the doors closed behind him, and the elevator began its desent to the 1st area of the caverns.

Meanwhile, back in the 2nd area of the caverns, Basher and Brittany were still sound asleep. Brittany began to dream about what life would be like in the future for both her and Basher, if Pioneer 2 were to take up residence on Ragol. She cuddled a bit closer to Basher while dreaming that scene. She never wants Basher to leave her side for any reason; she wanted to go with him wherever he goes in life, never to seperate. Basher slowly opened his eyes and noticed Brittany, with her head on his shoulder and her arms embracing his left arm. "Man I can't move right now. If I do, she might wake up. And I don't even know how long she's been asleep. Maybe for about a few minutes to about a few hours," Basher thought.
He just sat there, looking at Brittany. With his other hand, he began clearing her face from her hair, so that her peaceful face would show. He began stroking her hair to make it straight. "At least nothing dangerous is around to disturb us...."
Basher was still waiting for her to wake up, so they could continue their search for the rest of Pionner 1. So far, they've saw no traces of them. He was beginnning to lose hope that all of the crew died when that explosion occured. He kissed Brittany's left cheek, then whispered into her ear, "Hey, time to get up....We got to keep going...."
At that instant, she opened her eyes and gazed at him, with eyes full of love, "Time to wake up? I think it's a bit too early, don't you think?" she asked, with a smile.
"Maybe, but we have to keep up with our search. The faster we get done, the sooner we get back to Pioneer 2. Let's go," he ordered, then got up.
Brittany stood up also at the same time then walked over to get her hat. Basher knelt down and picked up his weapons and readied himself to the rest of the journey. "I'm ready," Brittany said to him, adjusting her hat on her head.
"Alright, let's get moving," he told her.
Brittany walked beside him, with her arm locked in his just as before. The walked out of the area, knowing that they'll come back there again someday.

Chapter 12

"So far, nothing's come across our way since we came down to this area," Basher said.
"Let's just hope things stay like this until we find them," Brittany added.
They continued walking through the beautiful caverns, still searching for the crew of Pioneer 1. So far for them, not a single clue have they found about Pioneer 1's disappearance. "Whoever did this to Pioneer 1 did a great job of covering up and disposing of any clues," Basher said.
They found another elevator shaft, leading more deeper into the caverns. "C'mon, we might find them down in the next area."
"But that's what you said the last time, Basher. We'll just end up finding nothing in that area," Brittany complained to him.
"Trust me, it may take a while, but we'll find out what happened eventually."
They both walked into the elevator, and it began its desent downwards.

Meanwhile, the hunter came down into the first area of the caverns, trying to keep up with them. He began sprinting towards the other elevator, knowing he'll make it to them before they reach the mechanical mines of Pioneer 1. "They can't reopen the sanctum! Not while I'm around!!" he yelled.
Suddenly, a dragon landed right in his path. The hunter was undeterred, but kept running at it, with his Dragon Slayer sword armed. Charging at him, he gave a punishing blow through the dragon's neck and then into the stomach. The dragon laid dead, while the hunter reholstered his sword, without skipping a beat. He ran like a marathon runner on the final stretch to the finish line. He just kept running, even though he was becoming really weak. "They won't get pass the mines! I'll stop them there!"
Finally, he reached the 2nd elevator shaft. Without hesistation, he pressed the call button and waited. The elevator came up and opened its doors. He rushed himself in, and pressed the down button. The doors closed, and the elevator climbed back down. "But I can't fight them in this condition. I have to take it easy and save my strength to defeat them both and return them to the surface. It's my only option left...."

Chapter 13

"What is this place?" Brittany asked Basher, after they both walked out of the 3rd area elevator.
"Ragol Caverns Area Zero Three" the loudspeaker informed them.
"The 3rd area of the caverns, eh?" Basher said. "Sounds like some more fun for us."
They continued their search. Section by section, it was extremely quiet. Brittany was beginning to lose hope. She began thinking that no one would be found. "I think everyone died from that explosion we saw," she told him.
"We can't turn back now. We made a promise to the Prinicpal that we find out what happened to his daughter and bring her back if she's alive. That's a promise I'll never break!"
He kept on, but Brittany hung back a bit. She always felt afraid, area by area. She fears that the deeper they go down, the more dangerous it'll be for her and Basher. "You coming or what?" Basher asked her, looking behind him.
"I'm coming.....," she sighed, then began walking up to him.

Meanwhile, back on Area 2 of the caverns, the hunter began jogging his way towards the next elevator shaft. "It may not get me to them quicker, but it's the only way to keep my strength for when I really need it," he said to himself.
With his Dragon Slayer sword still gripped in his hand, he pressed on, knowing that he would find them soon. "When I do catch up to them, I'll spy on them. Just following them around until the time is right to strike."

Eh...the effort is there, and I don't mean to offend, but the quality of the writing...well, it isn't good. It doesn't seem like you read very often, in fact, if you wrote a full length story in same manner and tried to get it published, you would be laughed at, or at the very least, pointed in the direction of a creative writing class. I'm only somewhat competant as a writer, and I would point out areas you should work on, but right now I'm tired. Again, no offense intended, just brutal honesty.

Artist, eh? You got any links to drawings? Because those I would very much like to see, I love checking out other people's artwork. I'm somewhat of an artist myself, though I don't believe any of my work to be of exceptional quality, nor do I have any interest in pursuing an career in art. It's more or less just something I like to do when I get bored in my classes at school, this happens pretty much every day so I get a lot of practice. You should work on your writing, though, if you're still in school, just pay attention in English class, otherwise, just take some creative writing course. They have those everywhere.

Ah...almost nothing but Sonic drawings...should've expected that.... You probably won't take my advice because you're obviously a Sonic nut, but you should try to be more original. ESPECIALLY since you said you wanted to be an artist. You can't just draw other people's creations, and if you lack the creativity to come up with your own, then I suggest you start thinking about doing something else. You do seem to have some ability, but it's probably underdeveloped from drawing Sonic all the time. Also...the anime style is overused and overrated, try coming up with your own style, and stop stealing ideas from japanese comic book artists. As before, I don't mean to be rude of offensive, it's just my opinion. About the overall quality of the artwork, it's not horrible, but if you don't improve, then no, you won't be able to make it as an artist. Creativity is another thing, especially if you want to be an artist for some form of game company. There will always be someone with more artistic ability, but I think a creative mind is sometimes more important than skill...you know, considering the creative one doesn't completely suck at drawing.... But anyway, I'm just providing my opinions to help if possible, and doing my best not to sound too rude. I have a problem with rudeness sometimes.

Chapter 14

Later on, they both came to a channel, with a raft floating next to the metal pier. "Well, I guess the only way to go now is to travel on boat. C'mon, Brittany," Basher told her.
"I don't know about this....Are you sure it's safe to go on this raft? We don't even know where this leads us..." Brittany told him, afraid of what is to come.
"You'll be fine. I'll protect you no matter what."
Brittany looked into his eyes again. She saw trust in those eyes. She knew that he was going to keep true to that word.....To keep her safe from harm at all costs. She walked onto the raft with him, and all of a sudden, as if someone else was driving it, he mysteriously began to move forward. "Did you do that?" Brittany asked him.
"Nope. Did you?"
"Nuhuh....Is this automatic or something?"
"Possibly.....It might take us even close to the lost crew of Pioneer 1. I just know it!" Basher replied.
"Let's hope so...."

Seconds later, the hunter came to the pier. It was as if he stopped time himself to catch up with them. "Drat! I was a bit too late!"
He noticed another raft floating towards the pier. "But maybe I can chase them down now!" he said, getting on the raft. Once he was on, the raft automatically started and moved towards the direction where the other raft went. "They'll not continue on! I can't let them do so! If they unleash the almighty darkness back from the abyss, Ragol is done for!" he frantically thought.
The two rafts were going about the same speeds. At this rate, he might never stop them by now. "Can't this thing go any faster?!"
He walked to the back side of the boat, and found the hard drive component system that regulates the speed of the raft. "If I can override this, and change some of the data that controls the speed of this thing, I may be able to have a chance!"
He didn't know what to do though. He began guessing which one controlled what. "Hm...I think it's this one..." he said, pressing the switch that steered it into the right wall. "Nope! This one!"
He pressed another one and it went levitating in the air. "Not that one either!" He studied the panel closely. Then came to a decision. "It's this one!"
He turned a dial clockwise, and the velocity of the raft began to increase. He could feel the wind whipping his face. "That's more like it!"

Meanwhile, more upstream, Basher relaxed on the raft, with his hands behind his head. Brittany sat on the edge of the raft, with her feet in the water. "When do you think we'll reach the end of this ride?" Brittany asked him.
"Who knows...." he replied, then a shadow loomed over him. He looked and noticed another raft above him. "Am I dreaming?! Or is that another raft flying overhead?!"
It passed by and the hunter dropped in. "I can't allow you to press on any further!"
"Why not?" Basher questioned.
"It is none of your concern! Be gone!" the hunter demanded.
"I didn't come all the way down here for nothing!" Basher drew out his Black King Bar. "And I won't go back until I find out what's happened to Pioneer 1!"

Chapter 15

The hunter eyed Basher intently, with his grip tightening on his Dragon Slayer sword. Basher had his Black King Bar ready in hand. Brittany looked back and noticed what was going to happen. She got her feet out of the water and stood up, on her bare feet. She got herself ready in case Basher needed help taking care of the hunter. But before the hunters did battle with each other, a huge creature began chasing after them. "What's that?!" Brittany pointed out.
Both of the hunters turned to where she was pointing. A huge crustacean popped out of the waters and looked at the whole raft. "What is that thing?!" Basher said.
"Del Rol Le!" the mysterious hunter told them both. "The guardian of the channels! I thought I took care of him a long time ago!"
"Well, you didn't take care of whatever this is too well..."
Del Rol Le swam to the right side of the raft, then dove underwater. Once he began to dive, however, huge plasma cores emitted from it's skin and knocked everyone to the ground. "What the heck was that?"
"It's one of his defenses!" he said, then remembered. "Get moving!!"
Basher and Brittany were confused. "Why?"
Before the hunter could answer, tendrils shot from the bottom of the raft upward, one piercing Brittany in the left leg. She fell to the ground, holding her wound. "Brittany!!" Basher yelled, and ran over to her.
"Don't touch her! She's poisoned! Take care of her later, we have bigger problems!!" the hunter commanded.
Brittany looked at Basher. "Don't worry about me....Just take that thing down..."
"Are you sure...you're going to be alright?"
She smiled. "I can manage...."
Basher was still unsure, but got back up and faced the Del Rol Le, who was in front of them. Basher looked at it. He was determined to take him down, just because it poisoned his love. "Time to die!" he yelled.

Chapter 16

Del Rol Le was keeping up with the speed of the raft while it eyed both of the hunters. Basher readied his Black King Bar and waited until it was the right time to attack. The hunter stil held his Dragon Slayer sword, scheming up what technique to use against the crustacean. Brittany, on the other hand, was still clutching her wound. She used her Resta technique and healed herself immediately. However, she never noticed that the poison from the tendril is stil within her system. She still kept herself sitting on the ground, watching the battle about to begin.

Suddenly, the Del Rol Le began to charge up energy within its mouth. "Laser Sweep!! Get out of its way!!" the hunter told them. Basher noticed it take aim at him, and just as soon as it fired, he dodged towards the other side of the raft. The creature locked its eye back on to Basher, and found the other hunter in its sight. It let out a shriek and charged an even greater laser at the hunter. The hunter braced himself for its attack, knowing it to be weak. To his dismay, the laser was stronger and faster, and once it impacted him, he was sent flying into the channel. Basher looked back towards where he flew, then back to Del Rol Le. He unholstered his Varista again and aimed at it. He fired 4 quick shots before dodging yet another laser. After that, he went back into the water and began swimming next to the raft. Basher put his Varista back and got out his Black King Bar. The creature lunged itself on the raft and got stuck. It tried to get off but couldn't. 'Now's my chance!' Basher thought, then began to attack it. With all the strength he had, he jumped and landed a punishing blow to its dome. His attack was not done yet. He backed off a bit and twirled his weapon in circles, impacting Del Rol Le with impressive force every time the ends of the bar hit. He backed off, and the crustacean let go of its grip of the raft, finally, and drifted towards the bottom of the channel, without much of a fuss. Soon afterwards, Basher helped Brittany back up, and she gave him a big hug. "How you feeling, Brit?"
"I'm feeling fine. Nothing a little Resta can fix," she replied, then smiled.
The raft then entered into a tunnel that was lighted with red and came up to another metal pier. They both got off the raft and looked towards the door. It had a small metal plate bolted on the front that said Pioneer 1 Research Mines and Laboratories.
"The mines, eh? Well, let's go," Basher said, holding Brittany's hand as they walked inside.

Meanwhile, another raft stopped at the pier, and there was the hunter, soaking wet. "Never expected that from the guardian...But that doesn't matter now...I have to stop them!"

Chapter 17

Entering the first lab room of the laboratories, both of them noticed two rows of deactivated androids, one row on each side of the room. “Huh…it may be that Pioneer 1 did retreat here,” Basher said.
Brittany huddled a little closer to him, still uneasy about traveling further and further into this place. She held onto Basher’s arm so tight, she was beginning to hold him back from walking further. “Brittany, what’s up?” Basher asked her, turning his attention to her.
She had her eyes shut. “This place is getting weird, and I don’t like it! Can we go back home? Or at least back to the second area of the caverns? Please, Basher?”
Basher turned towards her and placed his hands on her shoulders gently. “Baby, don’t worry. Remember what I promised you?”
She looked up at his eyes and replied, “That you’ll always protect me no matter what?”
“Right. And that’s exactly what I’m doing. Also, we promised the Principal to find his daughter. And you know what? We’re going to find her and bring her back, as well as the rest of Pioneer 1. And we’ll do it together.”
She smiled slightly, but was still afraid. She was beginning to think that maybe something bad might happen. Maybe that hunter will come and find them again and this time kill them. Who knows? Thoughts filled her head and she became really scared. She immediately embraced Basher, buried her head into his chest, and cried silently. Basher kept her in his arms and began to comfort her. “Don’t worry, Brittany…We’ll make it through this, I promise…” he reassured her.
Just then, as they stood in the middle of the lab, one by one the androids switched on automatically and began to shift their attention towards them. One raised its arm and readied a laser, pointing towards them. With it beginning to fire, Basher took notice of the noise it created. He looked back and then dodged the laser, moving Brittany with him. “How in the world?!” Basher said under his breath.
“The robots are alive!!” Brittany shrieked.
The androids began to close in on them, taking away any space Basher and Brittany had to escape. Basher kept his guard while Brittany still held onto him. “Brittany, let go…”
“But I-”
“Please…So I can destroy these things.”
Brittany looked down at the floor, but did as he said. As soon as she let go, Basher immediately took out his Black King Bar and charged at a few androids. Twirling his weapon, the ends of the bar impacted the CPU components of the android, instantaneously deactivating it. However, behind his back, one of the robots readied his aim and fired a beam. Basher heard the shot a bit too late, as he looked back and was hit on his side. He clutched the impact, letting his guard down. Sensing he was weakened, the androids closed in again. Brittany rushed to his aid and was too afraid to do anything. “No, you can’t! You can’t die!” Brittany related to him, embracing him and beginning to cry again.
Her eyes closed with tears flowing down her face. She stood up and had her head hanging low. Raising her Caduceus wand, she began to whisper a powerful electrical attack. As she was saying the spell, bolts of lightning formed around her body, making her body glow a bright yellow. Once she finished, she looked up and extended her hands towards the heavens. “Razonde!!” she yelled, as the lightning bolts were sent away from her and completely surrounded the entire lab room.
The immense amount of electricity overloaded the androids’ CPU. All of the internal circuitry was fried beyond repair, and their frames combusted into a pile of scrap. The overhead lights were also overloaded. Some blew out from the amount of energy, while others began to flicker on and off. A small fire began to start near the door where they entered from, but it didn’t prove to be able to spread.
Strands of Brittany’s hair were raised from the amount of electricity that shot out from herself, but she didn’t worry about that. She knelt down to Basher and whispered her Resta spell on him. A greenish glow emitted from Basher, as the wound began to heal and, in turn, disappear, then the glow dissipated. “Basher, are you alright?” she asked him, still with tears.
Basher looked up at her and smiled, wiping away some of her tears. “Of course…Thanks to you…”
She immediately dropped on top of him, holding him in her arms. “Thank goodness…” she whispered.
