Hello all. I wanted to post about this earlier.. but hte boards werent up yet.. so i figured id post now..
Some of you may or may not know of a gamecube emulation project named Dolphin. Dolphin was released late night January 26 2004 as a teaser version (experimental) with several games FULLY PLAYABLE on a 3 GHz P4 (amd athlon xp barton or higher) with the GeForce FX series cards.
the origional compatibility list is...
Recommended games to try (of course your own ripped GCMs of your legally bought discs):
Bust-a-Move 3000 (fully playable)
Crazy Taxi (slow, gfx glitches)
Zelda (slow, gfx glitches)
Mario (slow, gfx glitches)
18 Wheeler (slow, gfx glitches)
Ikaruga (slow, gfx glitches, crashes after four waves, but still cool)
and more...
here are some screenshots of it running...

Since then the version has been updated and is more stable
If some of you are skeptical then go and download the emulator for yourself at www.dolphin-emu.com however downloading GCN files are illegal so dont ask me, the team, or anyone else for these.. youll have to obtain them your own ways.. at your own risk.
So far.. Gamecube emulation seems to be moving VERY quickly. ;)
