Anyone else installing the PC version see this?

I clicked "retry", but it repeatedly failed. I clicked "ignore", and the installation continued, but I have a feeling the game isn't going to run right. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this.

Hopefully I didn't get a defective DVD.

I got the same error, it's not done installing so I do't know if it will work yet but it happened about halfway through, didn't take the time to note when it happened and what the file name was, probably should have.

I have the same problem.

EDIT: Wait, mine is a different one... 8b94677fd931db8767257627072f1787

And without mine, the title will open, with the main menu and what not, but nothing works. Aside from the option.

EDIT2: returned the original disc for a second one, also failed. Same spot...

could not having a dual layer dvd drive cause the problem?

this worked for me:

copy entire contents of the DVD to your hardribe, then run the install of your hard drive... good luck

Hmm... Well, I managed to get the game to work without that file... Reinstalling the game would probably erase my file...any idea on how to restore that?

I'm having a similar problem. I've been at this since 1PM EST yesterday. It's now 6:13AM EST...

Most of the data files load but maybe 2/5 of the way in I start getting "Cyclic Redundancy Error" and have the option to ignore, retry, or abort. I've tried em all. I was on the phone with Dell OnCall for four hours thinking I had a virus or something.

I'm going to try and copy the contents of the disc and run the installer. If this doesn't work I have a corrupted disc, no?

Alright so I can't copy the contents of the disc because they can't be read. I say it's corrupted.

I have a dual-layer DVD drive.

Anyhow, the game seems to run fine. This was when I installed on my laptop, when I installed the game on my PC I didn't get the error for some reason.

Ok, so I'm having same problem. Only one file, though. I wish I could just copy/paste this file from someone else.

\phantasy star universe\data\8b94677fd931db8767257627072f1787

Seems to be a problem with the CAB file encoding. Sega needs to address this issue or people with PCs are going to have serious problems. And yes, this IS going to be installed on a laptop.

I managed to get the game to install on my desktop computer, and I got the missing files copied over to my laptop; if anyone else is getting this error and needs one of them, note me and I'll try to help.
