Can't launch the game at all, in story or network mode... have no clue to what's wrong >.<

Any suggestions?

I had the same problem, I just updated DirectX, and it worked.

Use Direct X on the CD and it will work fine.

Hmm... I'm already running DirectX 9.0c, shouldn't be an issue.

But I'll try that :D

I updated my Direct X from the CD and I'm having the same issues still. =/

Pretty much the same as well, I launch up and get a error I can't read then it closes out. Tried pretty much everything that everyone's thrown at me. I'm thinking about seeing if I can trade the PC version for the PS2 version... But for the sake of convienance I'll probably wait on that.

It'd be great if it WERE Japanese rather than boxes. Then I could at least get the problem translated.

Perhaps your computer does not have the Japanese Characters available. When I went to Japanese sites before I got this computer, there were boxes everywhere, now I can see the symbols.

the boxes and the japanese characters mean the same thing, the boxes are just their instead of japanese text because you don't have a japanese language pack installed.

Wow, if this doesn't get fixed I think I might just return it, I'm going to give Sega the benefit of the doubt on this one though. That is $50 I could use to buy a computer game I know will be worth it. =/ Anyone thinking about doin' the same?

Not an option for me. I bought it from EBGames, and they won't take returns on opened PC Games.

Yup, I have 7 days before I can't turn it back in. If it doesn't work in 5, I'm never buying a SEGA game again. =|

Ouch, the guy at Gamestop told me they'd let me return it because of the problems a few people have already had with the PC Version. =(

Really? I got mine from EBGames as well, but it actually says on the reciept that I have 7 days before I can't return it...

It works now, thanx. For those that haven't tried, there's an DirectX installation exe on your PC-DVD. Run that and install DirectX again, see if that helps - it worked for me.
