After I select network mode, gameguard loads up and does its thing, but once its done, I can see a 640x480 window literally blink for a split second and then disappear....
...then nothing, the game doesn't run, nothing happens.
My computer is a laptop with 1.8Ghz, ATI mobility radeon 9200,
I've installed Dx9c, and have tried everything that is on these boards.
I have no idea what is wrong ><

Another ATI Radeon 9700/9800 with a problem. :?
Does any error box come up when you do this?
I assume you've already tried installing the Direct X from the CD. (Even if you already have the right version)

Ok, talk about ruining a good thing. My brothers computer has been running psu all day with no problems. Well, got a new videocard for him, installed it, updated drivers, reinstalled dx. ATI Radeon 9250. Nothing special, but better than his onboard video he was using. Anywho, to make this short, now the game doesnt work.
Click shortcut, menu opens. Click network, gameguard loads, split second black screen, and back to desktop.
Now, another interesting thing about this, is that the same thing happens with story mode. New software got installed with the new ATI, however, I uninstalled that to see what happens. Same effect.
Anyone heard this story before and know how to get the happy ending?

seems to be related to the ATI Radeon... hmmm. try switching the video mode of PSU around a bit and see if that results into any changes. try windows and no windows mode

Done the windows and no windows already, as well as the V-sync. I had to go through the 51 error on my comp and I really dont feel like troubleshooting his. Yet, here I am. Ok, lets see, on top of all the installs, I have messed with options some, guess Ill hit everything and see what shakes.

only other idea would be checking for differen ver. of the drivers for your card on their offical website

Here is an interesting twist. Left the software where it was. Disabled the drivers for the new card, and enabled the onboard ATI video. Works now as far as the blinking black screen. So me thinks it has to do with the drivers. Half tempted to just replace it with an NVidea like I originally wanted to.

Would be odd having to go back to a previous driver. Might try that soon though, just to see.
