This is unacceptable! First off, if you are going to refuse my credit card 3 times because apparantly my address couldn't be verified (even though I verified the information from looking at my statement before I hit submit) THEN DO NOT CHARGE MY ACCOUNT. These charges better be released to my account SOON or I'm going to be so :):):):)ed off. At the very least, give me a phone number to your billing department where I DON'T have a stupid automated message so I can get this corrected ASAP.

This is also an issue for me.
My account is Boxboxbox and I have been double-charged for 9.99 after the time my card was 'Rejected'

Legal action, mates, legal action.
This is actually making me think twice about purchasing a lisence now, at least for the time being.

No need for a legal action. I just had to call visa and then sign a form on my bank and then they returned my money in 1hour.

You shouldn't have had to do that in the first place If they reject your card, why the hell would they charge it. Seems like common sense to me.

I made an attempt at a purchase, but it said it had an error, and after reading this story, I'm not going to make another attempt until SEGA is showing progress with all of these errors.

I did it gladly, not only had my moneyback, but when visa returns your money via chargeback, then a formal complain from visa is sent to the billing company.
It's something like legal action but visa does it.

Make sure you call VISA/MC and explain. Not only will your money be refunded, but a surcharge is placed on sega for each time it happens. If after a certain amount happen, Sega are set as a risk company and will actually be scrutinized for any wrong actions they incuur on customers and possibly fined for each mischarge.
Both parents work for a CC company and its fun to hear how some big companies are actually on the hook for cash from mischarging customers.

I had the same problem and i solved it. Please make sure the address is written EXACTLY the same way its written on your card, for example "appartment number 150" can be written #150 or appartment 150 or app150, and it has to be written same way as on the card statement, down to the typos if any (on my statement its written apartment instead of appartment and i have to type apartment for it to work). The order is important too btw.
Also my card wasnt charged, but on the online transaction record i had all three failed attempts showing as in process of being charged but in the end the money was not charged, the money were on hold for 14 days after which they were "released".
Hope that helps.

Oftentimes, denied payments will remove itself after a little while. Normally, the money gets frozen due to the fact that it was requested, but never taken. So, after a little while, it would be released and available again. <3
