General Board Info an Help (request sticky)

Please can everyone try not to spam and have fun. (not my word but Sega's)

Ok lets start off:

Usergroups(read this and you will finally find out what they are :roll: ):
Usergroups are a way in which board administrators can group users. Each user can belong to several groups (this differs from most other boards) and each group can be assigned individual access rights. This makes it easy for administrators to set up several users as moderators of a forum, or to give them access to a private forum, etc.

Spam: Just try not to do it!!! Most people hate it and it's not cool.

Flaming: Insulting others with little to no legitimate reasons. (dont do it)

Trolling: Making threads on other boards for no purpose other than to simply insult people for their console choices or anything else.

USELESS TIP:

when you are on the main forum page, where you have pages and pages of forums listed, you can click on one of the sections like 'Everything Sega', 'Sonic', ETC. and it will shrink the front page to only show forums in those categories, you can then continue clicking other headings to switch to other categories. this will make navigating the forums look cooler, but take a lot longer. plus when you enter a forum and come back to the main page, the forums will all be visible again. so basically you are wasting your time, but it's something you can do!

another USELESS TIP:

this one isn't as useless as the previous. it is accessed in a similar fashion. clicking on the 'WHO'S ONLINE' heading down below, will take you to a cool page that shows who is online and where they are browsing. so before you start flaming someone for not responding to your stupid little post after hitting refresh for a minute, why not check this page to see if they are browsing a forum where more intelligent people hang out? and remember, god hates n00bs
