View Full Version : PSU Xbox 360 - No love at all.....

Okay, I've been on PSU all this weekend and I admit, I love every minute of it. But what grinds my gears right now is the fact as to why is it that the PS2/PC versions have WAY more content on their servers when comparing to the Xbox 360 version?
This is the same crap that Sega pulled on us Xbox users with PSO. The other versions get their new stuff way before hand and we're left out until either weeks to months later till we get something new which is by then considered old on the other servers. I mean, all versions were released all at the same time and yet 2 versions feel more like a complete game than the last one which to me feels more like the beta. This is what made me leave PSO after months of playing.
If this kind of treatment to the Xbox 360 players continues Sega, Im pretty sure your going to be losing a lot of customers with this game.....and this includes myself.
Okay, my question to everyone else is that......do any of you feel the same way as I do?

What content don't we have that the other Americans do right now? It's just the Japanese that have more content than we do right now. We'll be getting the content at the same rate as the others.
Besides, it seems like the 360 servers are going well. We were the first servers back online after the last maintenence and we didn't have many issues. Just a bit of authentication trouble first day. That and our billing is well set up.

From what I've been told at PSO-world.com, they already have their claw weapons, can go to Moatoob, etc. Im not talkin about the JP version, I already know their way ahead of us. Im talkin about us on the US servers.
Word. We're practically still in beta.

PSOW was reporting on the Japanese version. They got the stuff before we even got the game, so the ops probably felt they didn't need to mention which version it was for.
Look around, everyone is disappointed that we don't have that stuff yet.
Wait, so does the US PC version have Moatoob yet or not?

The PC - PS2 - 360 versions are exactly the same.. you were lied to. The JP version does have more BUT.. we will soon have the same.. so no worries.

Id wait for the JP and EU join the servers before expecting any updates.
On the long run i would imagine that if anything xbox 360 would have equal or more treatment to the EU/US ps2 and pc servers seeing as Japanese normaly get better treatment. Having the EU, US and JP servers merged means we cant be left out on content.

yeah but thats BS too. why do they JP players have more than us? shouldnt we get everything they have at launch since they already have the system figured out?

Because we're on a similar schedule to the Japanese. When did they get their Moatoob? Probably a month after the game launched. All the non-Japan "releases" will be staggered.

I understand that, I'm seriousally asing a question tho.
Why do we ahve to wait, when its already out in japan?
not that i'm mad about it being out there, i'm just wondering why its split up still.

It's pretty much done to keep you playing over the course of many months rather than wearing yourself out in a couple. After all, they want to keep those $9.99 flowing in...

I agree, the PC/PS2/XBOX are limited compared to the Japanese version
If I have already played every aspect of the beta, what gives me motivation to play an extended beta for a monthly fee? I admit that i have noticed a few new things in the release, but almost not enough to distinguish it from the beta.
I think the question that we are all asking is exactly WHEN will the new content be released...

Well, Sonic Team did state that all versions would follow the same time frame as the JP PC/PS2 versions did, so I guess that means the first update will be approximately 4 weeks after the US release date.

Only beef I have is that I can't play with my buddies that have it on PS2. Aren't they going to open that up for us or am I just telling myself good, false, news to make myself feel better?

The servers are entirely separate and will remain that way according to every Sega news release. You'll have to make a choice between playing on the 360 or playing with your friends on PC/PS2.

In a way, it's good to have them separate. Cheating will be much harder on the 360 version. We'll probably see a lot more glitching than cheating. Since the 360 isn't as open as the pc and doesn't allow real cheat devices to be made for it (like the gameshark on the ps2).
On the other hand, I would love to play against my friend who only has the ps2.

Xbox 360 has much more content than us PS2/PC users

It is my understanding that the JP servers were all down during about 2 weeks or so after launch till the begining of October due to the servers being way over populated (reported on G4TV). So how did they get their content a month later or did they implimented all that stuff during the shutdown?

nobody knows, what they do in JP has nothing to do with the states.
people are drawing this parallel without knowing the little things like that.
