From n-philes forum:

Here's a little new tibits. GT interviewed Mikami.

- More ammo and bullets for the majority of the game.
- More weapons such as uzis.
- GC is very easy to work with, but low memory is a problem sometimes.
- Mikami believes that RE 0 didn't sell well since it had a zero in the title, and wasn't really going anywhere with the story.
- 2004 in Japan and U.S.
- No multiplay.
- 10 hours long.
- The Difficult is directed by the player; for example, if a player goes through an area without taking damage, there'll be less bullets in the next area.
- Some sort of crazy twist at the end of the game; Mikami only stated it was still horror.
- Mikami has nothing to do with the movies.
- No CG; all in game.
- Description of a river scene on a wharf with jumping fish. You can target and shoot at the fish, but then a huge monster jumps out and swallows you whole.
- Other vehicles to pilot.
- Leon can catch on fire.
- Chainsaw dude = homage to Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
- There WILL be some indoor environments.
- No Door Animation.
- Sniper rifle is in, but you can't set your own traps.

10 hours long, at least 6 hours longer than the other RE I played.

Pft, they say 10 hours now, but when we play it, it will probably only be about 6 hours at the very most.

How many times have re games in the past were said to be 6 hours long...
And they were beaten in 2 and 1/2 hours? :?

Yeah, those predictions for how long games would be are ALWAYS false. Starfox Adventures was once claimed to be 100 hours! I swear. And Metroid Prime was claimed to be 6-8 but it was a 36+ hour game.

And plus, playing through a RE game the first time is much MUCH longer.

I'm also glad Capcom is doing just like Ubi Soft is with SPlinter Cell 2 (doing the thing about adjusting the difficulty through skill)

Well, Star Fox was originally going to be 2 discs, and maybe even implicate a multiplayer feature, but the fact that they were already negotiating with Microsoft during the making of the game, and the fact that Nintendo wouldn't allow them to delay it again made Rare cut it short.

Oh, and post the full interview! Not just statements.

The only RE game I've really played is the RE remake for Gamecube, and I still own that game today. I took my time in that game, and I think I ended up taking 20 hours to beat it. Why so long? Because I took my time, and I would play it a little, stop for a long period of time, play it a little, stop, etc...In fact it took me a couple months to beat it. I purchased it in I think August 2002 and beat it in April 2003. I take forever to beat games..but thats just me.
