Really dumb question...please help.

I just got my 360 yesterday and am very interested in the game. But I was searching through the content on my XBox live membership and came accross the Guardian's Liscence for $9.99. I am mainly interested in the online aspect of the game.

My question is do I actually have to buy the game itself or just download the Guardian Liscence to play online? :oops:

No the game isn't just a download. You buy the game and then you have to purchase the license.
All that is taken care of the first time you go online in the game. It will take you to the part of the market place where you will need a Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard) they can be a Bank/Check Card as long as they have the Visa/Mastercard logo.
Once you buy the GL, you will then be told you need to log out. You need to back out and log out of your Gamertag and then sign back in. This will add the GL to your Gamertag and allow you to log on to the Xbox Live part of the game and create a character.
