In my second sentance it says "Most", meaning not all but a good number of them. And it's not the main point of the post.

Main point is that people are sexually harrassing a guy (me) and even though I tell them I'm a guy they don't listen. I've been trying to find something ingame where I can report these guys but it's been futile. Is there any other way than calling SEGA and asking for a superior to report people?

Don't take it so hard... it is a phantasy world after all. Just look at it like this... the guy in the game is hitting on the girl in the game. If she doesn't like it... kick to the face or a slap is usually effective.

Please use the in-game blacklist function before you submit an Abusive Behavior ticket. The Blacklist function is easy to use: simply walk up to the offending player and 'select' them, this will open up a menu with a few specific options, select 'Add to Blacklist' and confirm.

Once blacklisted, you will no longer see player text, and they will be unable to join games you create.

I am a girl, and I play just as much as my husband. Not all the girls are guys. I gave birth to two kids and I know that no man could do that.

If they persist to harass you after asking them to stop that is one thing, but if you do not even ask them to stop that is another.

I'm a man and made a female CAST as a second character. I played her for one day and it was annoying. Everywhere I went there were guys giving me thier Cards and being extra friendly. I just ignored them and I would dump the cards, but some just kept giving me the cards over and over.

If these guys were that persistent (and charming) IRL, they might actually get a nice woman to play PSU with and stop trying to get with everything with a pair of b00bs online.

I am glad I'm not a female gamer. Guys can be dogs, but then some women like the attention. But I guess it comes with the territory.

I know what you mean...during the beta, my friend was a girl and a swarm of guys, and I don't exaggerate, were following him around Linear Line....but then again that's not the worst...I was a Kid character (male) and I was followed around too...so I think it doesn't really matter what character you make...there are always a few...ya know?

I play a female char and it's quite amusing just how many stranger game cards I recieve if I afk in a lobby. Fortunately, ignoring my surroundings is a skill I posess, I could care less what they are doing. We've all gone through puberty (well, not the young people here) with our hormones all out of wack ready to hump just about anything that walks. I just choose to ignore them :P

I feel sorry for the real females, however few of them are playing. Sega did a wonderful job of censoring us from reality, to the point the chat system is almost completely unusable, yet they cannot shield us from the most one of the most basic primal instincs... the need to reproduce. Then follow them around and ask them why they don't talk to you anymore, that you always thought you had some thing special, and that would would treasure forever all those things they said to you over private voice chat. Do this all in public chat. Do it on different universes.

THAT will get them to stop, if your masculinity can handle it. And you ARE playing a female character, so I hope that means it can.

I usually play a female character in MMOs because that's what I want to stare at for my playing time. However, it has never been worth it in PSO, and it doesn't seem to be worth it in PSU, because people give you a really hard time compared to pretty much every other online game.

And yes, there are plenty of girls and women who actually play female characters in the game. It's not a 100% valid test, but somehow I can tell they are female when we are voice chatting in a party.

And a tip for the less mature guys. If you have a girl in a party with you, and you don't act like a total idiot, you'll probably get to party with them again! I know it's shocking, but girl gamers really like to game with other gamers who aren't pointing out "there is a girl playing video games" every five minutes or some of the other monumentally stupid things I've kicked people from my parties for saying to the ladies.

This one guy... I swear, like every minute he'd exclaim, "I can't believe a girl actually plays this!" and every time he died he claimed it was the female jinxing us. So I removed him from the party, and everything was quite nice. Our luck even improved, almost like the jinx was the player who spent so much time flapping his gums and being mind-boggled he let himself die over and over. Imagine that.

1) My wife didnt want to be badgered all the time so she made a male character..... so if you make a female char YOUR BAD !...
2) Theres nothing anyone can do that would force you to do anything if they're saying bad things blacklist em and be done, why turn this into drama?
3) if you get your rockies off by getting people banned you should play ghost recon or somethin else... you can get them banned for glitching, and prove how much of a tool you really are.

You know that's not the biggest point of the thread right? It's about sexual harrassment within the game. Would your answer be different if I was a female playing a female character telling people to stop sexually harrassing my character?

Well honestly I dont feel it is technically possible to be sexually harrased in a game where you cannot be "trapped" by the persuer you always hae somewhere to go, your room what not. The fact that voice chat is party only means you wont "hear" what they're actually saying if not in group, and as far as I'm concerned text is text I look passed it.
I realize to some people this is like "WTF, SEXUAL HARRASMENT PANDA STOP, IT MAKES ME WANT TO CRY", but I say in an online enviroment which text is the only way to "harras" then it should be water of the ducks back. My biggest point you cant stop the social actions, but you can stop the text, and if you cant ignore the social actions, then dont hang out in social lobbies, lock down your group, and just go grind all the time, or see option 2 from earlier post.

Heheh, regarding PSO. At first in PSU I was missing the picto-graph function that allowed you to create pictures so you could communicate on international servers. Then I remembered that all anyone ever used it for was spamming genitalia all over the place.

It would be nice to have international access like in PSO...

Here's a tip, play what ya wanna play as, male or female character it don't matter, when someone bugs ya just black list them as others have said as well. maybe write up some response to insult there pride depending on the situation. when online don't make it your goal to hit on a female, or find a online mate. and when you meet a female in the game don't go "ZOMG a woman!" and if your dumb enough to give someone items becuase you think they are a woman they you deserve to be cheated out of your items and money. If ya gonna give free items to people then just give it out of kindness or to a friend, not becuase you think your gonna get cyber laid. Girl gamers are here to play a game for fun as well and other reasons just like everyone. So get your head out of your :):):):) and treat everyone like a human. Person gender and character gender should not matter. and lastly if you are being hurrased find out what you can do about it, and if ya don't black list them, then it's your stupidity thats leting them still contact you. And if you did black list them yet they keep on going at it with different characters etc then file a report if the black listing them dont work.

Ok then. My 2 cents are.

1) I don't think its so much as a worry, as an annoyance to have some dork spamming sexually explicit comments in field base areas that you HAVE to pass through while going from point A to point B, however servers 1-3 are usally packed and 9.8/10 times if you switch between them you can avoid it.

However just like people spamming about their shops, or wanting money, its just annoying.

2) If your looking to a game to fulfill your sexual tendencies...thats just sad, you know theirs places like the shopping mall, skate park, bike tracks, bars, and other various places you can go meet real girls and talk to them, go on dates, and do many other "Interesting" things with.

Im not saying theirs anything wrong with online dating or anything, but relying on finding a female character to whom you don't know is male or female on the other side and trying to get it on with them just seems a little whacked to me.

In the end whatever floats your boat, Ill just ignore you.

i will put my 2 cents in this one, for the record this is the first mmo i ever played, and when it comes to girl characters in my party i don't care about the real persons gender. I'm just here to play and enjoy a great game, and to the age range question i am 29 and play a male cast in game, and a male in real life. Sadly i don't have the liberty of playing with voice chat for i don't have a pc or x360. So i will never find out but again i don't care who u are in real life, i just want to enjoy a great game and make some friends along the way.

One guy even sent me a mail saying "With that name, you are definately a guy" and it made me mad because he apparently thought I left out the first W in Swallow. Now, if my books were published, and someone actually read them, they would know Sallow was the character's last name :roll:

On beta, I was playing the exact same character and was just sitting next to the fountain in Central Table, talking with a friend. This guy comes up and asks if I want to go to his room. Dude, just use the 'blacklist' feature. You won't see that player's messages nor hear their voice on the mic. :wink:

1) If we were not meant to be able to play as any gender we wanted to then SEGA would find a way to tie character gender to your RL gender, maybe based on Credit Card information.

And you shouldn't have to run away to avoid this kind of behavior, you payed 10 bucks a month to enjoy the game online, not be harassed.

Just because MMORPG has the letters "RP" in it do not denote it as a "Role-Playing game". You should probably play Diablo sometime and see if anyone wants to have a good role playing session. Well, this topic is funny, I am actually a female player, and I play as a female in the game too. I get attention from guys, but it doesnt annoy me, it's a lot of fun, I just laugh and play along. If you are a guy, why be a girl character? I don't get that, it's weird.

Anyone know if you can report people in game for sexual harrassment? I rather get them banned or suspended because it's getting massively annoying. I'm close to calling SEGA's corp. office and getting a supervisor's attention about this. And yes, I write down names and blacklist people who do this to me.

I have been kicked out of some parties by real female players (I could hear their voices) because I wouldn't talk and they couldn't tell for sure if I was a girl or a guy

There were guys in the party, their only problem was that they had to be sure what I was in real life before they play with me, so I had to talk in order to prove my real life gender

I have no idea why that matter. As long as someone is a good players the gender shouldn't matter

As for sexual harrasment, I didn't notice too many of that, probably because I only play in groups for holy ground S and Bruce and well, I guess those who play that are high level players and they have better things to do than harrass others, they actually spend their time online leveling up their char

In most cases, you can ( if you get there partner card ) check there gamer tag details, thats how i found out a female character hitting on ME, was accually a guy !.... what a universe eh !!!! lol...

My husband and I play Bruce's Dungeon a lot, and we play it for speed. If you're doing that, you have to be able to communicate with everyone else in your party. Those running gates and switches have to be able to talk to one another so that someone doesn't get stranded somewhere and on speed runs, you don't have the time to wait while someone types in a response.

So if someone joins our party and doesn't have a mic, or claims to not have a mic, we will politely ask them to leave the party, and give them the reason. If they still hang around and don't leave after three requests, then they get booted.

Gender has nothing to do with it. I'm a girl and play a female character. My husband also plays a female character. If frustrated little teenagers object to males playing females or vice versa, too bad. And if they hang around the lobbies in the hope they're going to hook up with some hot chick, they really need to turn off the game and get out in the real world a little bit.

But has to be said, the female creations can be pretty tasty !, guess the men to the ladies can be as well - but i cant comment on that really... Well, in my case I can tell you 100% they booted me because I didn't wanna talk since, even without a mic, I could hear what they were saying ;)

As for bruce dugeon needing a mic, it is not really necessary, as I said, I can hear

I have done countless Bruce Dungeon run without a mic and 90% of the time we got S, yeah we did fail a some, but that had nothing to do with the mic, but everything to do with the Bil de Vear killing someone in the last room LOL

I have done them with different parties and have not been kicked out of any Bruce party for not having a mic yet. I have been kicked out of one A Bruce party for dying to the two Bil de Vear at then end, while in beast form, with two forces in the rooms, but that's another story LOL

I would do a run with you and your husband anytime and I can guarante you that we would not fail because I don't have a mic (well, of course, I know the quests really really good and as I said you can tell me where you want me to go anytime since I hear everything you say)

And for people who say that guys pretend they don't have a mic so people do not know that they are really guys, look, I am a girl and I truly couldn't care less if you think I am a guy, I am not playing this game to prove anything to anyone, well, beside proving that I am a good and honest player ^_^ (which should be the only thing that matter to decide who you want to play with)

I just learned how to report them :twisted: I guess I'll keep the website up and report them if they don't stop after I ask.

Please use the in-game blacklist function before you submit an Abusive Behavior ticket. The Blacklist function is easy to use: simply walk up to the offending player and 'select' them, this will open up a menu with a few specific options, select 'Add to Blacklist' and confirm.

Once blacklisted, you will no longer see player text, and they will be unable to join games you create.

That dose not allways work out because if you know some one is going to blist you you can just run away and come back just keep a distance from the player who tries to blist you

Well maybe if the people with the Female charecters should just tell the party that their not really a girl. And just because you have a female charecter doesnt mean you have to give it a female name. Unless of course your roleplaying. Even i have a female charecter but i never get hit on because i didnt give myself a very girly name (Chaos Mage) and i told them when asked that i was not a girl, she was pretty hot too.
