Hello,
My name is David Waters and I work in the video game industry as a reporter, and I'm also a big PSO fan, and so is my best friend. However, we are trying to answer a question that will determine weather or not we can go online with PSO III.
Me and my best friend both have high speed internet though AOL. As many PSO fans know, PSO Episode 1&2 for Gamecube was not compatible with AOL. Luckily, he had another ISP to use but we dont have that service anymore.
Awhile back, Nintendo and AOL struck an agreement, making AOL the official ISP for Gamecube. If you don't know what I'm talking about, read this news report:
http://n-philes.com/php/epyfkeakpffkyfeukfk.php
or http://cube.ign.com/articles/437/437537p1.html
Another full article (sorry, can't find the link) stated that future online games were expected to connect through AOL, I think Nintendo said that also. All of this was reported in September, so we suspect that PSOIII may connect through AOL.
So, here is my question Does anyone know if PSO Card Battle will be able to connect through AOL? I really hope Sega did the right thing and made this happen because last time alot of people could not connect because they had AOL, and ultilizing this agreement and making it compatible with AOL would give Sega alot more business and people on the service, since so many customers and gamers have AOL.
Thanks,
David Waters
