but i'm starting to feel that japanese don't make games that interest american's too much..at sega................they alway's come up with these wird hippy, trippy ideas...n their games are either a gamble or a long shot.....n when it excellent games come here from sega it doesn't get the media it deserves........................

i feel sega of america need's to start making games with, american gamers in mind..,.........sega isn't a big company because their focus n outreach is too limited............

Not all SEGA games are Japanese.

ESPN Sports: All of the sports games put out by SEGA are made by the North American development team known as Visual Concepts (which was formerly a third party).

Scud the Disposable Assassain & Three Dirty Dwarves: These two Sega Saturn classics were made by American based company, Sega Soft.

Headhunter: This franchise is developed by Swedish based company, Aruze. They create it...and SEGA publishes it.

The entire Toe Jamand Earl series is american.

The american divisions of the Japan based development teams are mostly working on translation and voice acting. Sonic Team actually has themselves situated in San Francisco to my knoledge...

The american development teams, however completely make their games there, and the european and japanese divisions of it do the translation yadda yadda yadda...

So its basically a vice versa system.

Sonic's an international character; so that makes him American as well.

All the good Sega games come from Japan, but these days they're falling apart.

Sonic Team was actually split up for a while with the US team working on Sonic Heroes and the Japanese one working on Billy Hatcher. Yuji Naka was mainly working on Billy Hatcher while Takashi Iizuka headed the Sonic Heroes project.

Yuji Naka of course supervised both projects but as far as I know he left most of Sonic Heroes to the US team.

I forgot what other Sega dev teams are in the US... can't think of any other ones besides VC.
