If you just bought it you should know how much it's worth... Games without boxes lose value, but Dragon Force is rare and sell for a lot of $$$ (I think it can sell for more then it's original price) Do a search on ebay.
And yes Dragon Force have a save feature and you need it to enjoy the game. I wish I could play Dragon Force again. :D

 you don't need the ram cart since saturn has internal ram backup. however if you have the japanese version you'll need the converter.

yes you do need the ram cart if you're planning to save more than once, a dragon force save takes up like 500 blocks i have an action replay + hehe it does everything

 but if you only save one adventure at a time then you don't need the cart. i have dragonforce and cart. i've finished the game using junon, and leon.

it wasn't MADE by Working Designs, they just brought it over here and butchered it in the process
