SONIC X cancelled in Japan?!

Yes, people... Sonic X is going to be cancelled in Japan in March due to poor ratings. The production of the series will be halted also. Read the story here.

Sonic movie was ALOT better then Sonic X. when i first herd about Sonic X a year ago, i was jumping for joy. cuz i saw the early prototype screenshots, and they were cool. But when i was screenshots of the show in Japan, i got less excited about the show

Seems like everybody here really doesn't like Sonic X. I don't watch it...mostly because its on too early for me to wake up at. So i just download the Japanese version when I feel bored, but how are the ratings like in U.S. and Canada? eh.

Sonic X is okay for me to watch, i was wish it was as decent then the movie. sure the movie had even worse (yet funny) voice acting then Sonic X, but everything else was cool.

I actually found it quite enjoyable. What I really loved was that Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog show. Crappy animation, slapstick humor, and dumb one-liners. Good times, man. Good times. A lot better than that one based off the comics. I never saw the movie though.

The problem was, there were more episodes with Amy and Cream then their were with Knuckles. Come ON! If Knuckles wasn't around, every adventure would revolve around getting the Master Emerald back from Eggman. Knuckles is just one of those characters that anything Sonic can't function without (with the exception of the games made before Knuckles).

Well, the news of Sonic X's ending isn't exactly that surprising, considering that the series is almost over in Japan anyway. And as the producers started doing alot of adaptations of the current games during the latter half of the series, they would have run out of material soon enough. Not sure if there's gonna be any Heroes-based episodes besides the one episode involving the Chaotix.

Hopefully this won't mark the end of Sonic anime in general....I wouldn't mind seeing another movie or OVA based on the games.

...I just hope that Fox doesn't cut their showing of Sonic X here short...

At least they could sell some of the episodes here in the U.S. and keep doing more of it. Or they could at least work hard on making better episode.

Actually, I think Fox had finished showing the complete series (I never watched it much, but I remember Fox advertising the final episode).

And, if worse comes to worse, I can only pray that 4Kids takes the same route they did with Ultraman Tiga and release the rest of the episodes in a full set, uncut and all.
