Wow!

I have been on this boards barely a couple of minutes and I see a bunch of people who seem to believe sega left their old systems behind and that sucks for us. While i do understand the sentiment you must understand ITS ALL ABOUT THE BOTTOM LINE.

Game studios are here to make money. Plain and simple. Don't believe?,... well, just see how many sonic titles have been getting milked to the current consoles. Yes, the dc was a great system but it didn't sell like the ps1. The saturn had some amazing titles, but got crap dusted by the ps1 and n64. So where can you go after 2 major consecutive failures,.. and a butt load of add ons to the genesis,... straight to the software bin.

Am i a PS fanboy? Nope. Fact is I own every sega console (and some of the add ons as well!) But i have come to face the facts that there are other consoles and games out there to enjoy. Because I knew the new business model sega has going to go for once it opted to publish for all the consoles, I knew money was their main goal. So i have not purchased a sega game since the dc buckled. To be frank, there is nothing to me as interesing after the software years of glory. (otogi and orta do make a good try)

So stop complaining about no sega consoles. There are tons of things better now than the dc or saturn. There will always be classics people, but I rather experience the present and wait for the future.

PS: when sega decides to bring great sequels like: Streets of Rage, Skies of Arcadia, Nights and a real single player Phantasy Star game, i wil buy them immediately and help out with their bottom line

Like what a lot of people have said in these boards. GAMES ARE STILL BEING MADE FOR DC. It's still popular in Japan. I heard it even had 3 best selling titles last year. It just bombed in the US. I am an American but the typical American is VERY ignorant. Just last night I was at a video games store that sells all kinds of shiit, even Jaguar games and the such. Anyway I saw a guy buying, I believe, a colecovision and his girlfriend asked him, "what about the dreamcast" That ignorant :):):):)er actually said, "man, dreamcast sucks. They stopped making games for that so fast." That ignorant :):):):)SUCKER! If he would have said something like, "I don't like a lot of games on DC so I won't buy it" I wouldn't have a problem with it at all (although I disagree with that comment immensely). Americans (typical American) are just :):):):)ing trendfollowers who care nothing for actual content just the reputation and glamor of something. Yo can like whatever system you want or be a whatever fanboy if you want but don't say something sucks without a damn good reason or consideration. I actually bvelieve if Dreamcast could get just half of the game developers for Xbox, GameCube, and PS2 they would put out great games and the system would recieve its due respect. That's cool that you think it's dead though. BUT I know better. I know what it could have and should have become in the US.

Sega may sound greedy at the moment. But lets say if you were broke and on the edge of losing your livelyhood you would do what you can to keep on going and make money. Sega is just gathering funds right now and probably for at least the next 5 years. But I don't doubt a comeback in the hardware department. Sega has been through shiittier times. Reember Master system that was way more technically advanced and that was insanely dominated over by the NES. Genesis came out and the biggest corperate war began (in the gamers view at least). I hope history repeats itself again, as it usually does.
