I repeat these are rumors I stumbled on the internet.
The Rumor Mill
Japanese Love For Xbox!
Konami, Tecmo, Namco, Capcom and more have already slipped into the Green light but it seems with the growing demand for Xbox in Japan and the Japanese orientated market widening on Xbox with titles such as Ninja Gaiden, TFLO, DOA, Jade Empire and more, it seems that in the run-up to E3, we will be seeing even more Japanese developers converting to the green-er side of life. SquareEnix? We hope but how many times have we been let down before?
Tecmo’s Xbox Love
Tecmo have been by Xbox’s side since birth, having already enjoyed the exclusives Dead Or Alive 3, Dead Or Alive Beach Volleyball and upcoming exclusives Ninja Gaiden and Dead Or Alive Ultimate Collection V1, it seems that Tecmo are a firm favourite among Xbox fans. Noticing this, Tecmo are starting work on even more Xbox exclusives. We know about Code Chronos and Kasumi-Den but what is particularly interesting is that Team Ninja are hoping to follow-up Ninja Gaiden with plans of a sequel already.
European Anniversary
March 14th 2002 – Xbox is released to Europeans. March 14th 2003 – Xbox LIVE is unleashed to Europeans. March 14th 2004? It seems that a BIG Euro developer is planning to announce a new Xbox Exclusive title with the help of Microsoft. Who this developer is is still under wraps – we’ll keep you posted
Bungie Looks To The Future!
After the release of Halo, Bungie looked to Halo 2. However, development on Halo 2 started as they were wrapping up on the first title. This time around seems to be no different but, what is worth noting is this title is not of the Halo series and will not be released on Xbox. What does that mean? Well, apparently the first phase of early development in Bungie has started on a brand new game tipped to be a launch title for the next console from Microsoft! Bungie + New Franchise + Xbox 2 – Just the thought of that brings saliva to our chins!
So there you have it – the biggest inside scoop’s from around the world. Now get into the 2000-strong XBG Community Forums and get shouting about these stories from the top of your lungs and see what other Xbox-Fanatics think!
