This is for all those people out there that are out there that are wondering what the stats are like for each job. This isnt just for the lvl 10 job, it shows the stat progression from lvl 1 to lvl 10.
While this info may not be so valuable now, when the expert classes come out, people will be wanting to know how it is.
A way to understand how this is set up, each race has base stats for each lvl. And each job lvl of a certain class effects your stats a certain way. For example, a lvl 10 hunter has 130% hp (or 30% more hp added to your base stat). Likewise, they have 94% acc (or 6% less than the base stat).
While I dont know the stats for every single lvl, I do have the stats for lvl 60 chars which can be seen here, and you can use as a basic reference for stat differences between races. http://xs209.xs.to/xs209/06474/BaseStats60.JPG

:):):):):):):) dude, thats good work. Everywhere you look for info about the expert classes, you only see the stats for lvl 10. Only problem is its going to take a long time to get there. Ive been wondering what the stats would be like for the lower lvls.
Great work man, you get a thumbs up from me.

What that is based on, is any lvl you are. Each race, has base stats for each lvl. Only problem, is it is almost impossible to find out your stats, unless you have a lvl 10 job because you that is the only info I have found on basic job stats. Ill look to find the stat bonuses for the beginner classes though. All that you can find out (from what ive seen) is the lvl 10 for each job.
Anyways, if you have a job that is lvl 10 right now, you can go to psupedia to find out the stat bonuses for that class, and multiply your actual stats to find out what your stats are. Say for example, you see hunter at lvl 10 has 130% hp. Take the hp you have now and multiply that by .3 (or 30%). Once you have that number, subtract it from your stat and youll find your base. Or if you see a stat is at 85%, you would multiply that stat by 1.15 (or 15%) and you would get your base stat.
Does that explain it for you a bit?
Oh btw, when you see the stats, if it is under the column for lvl 1,2,3 and so on, it means your actual job lvl for that job. (The lvls you get when you get enough mission points at the end of each mission) So far you can only get the max of lvl 10 for a job.

Sei to the rescue! These are the stats for a level 1 male human hunter with all class types also at rank 1. Obviously this only covers the human end, but since their stats are balanced for the most part you ought to be able to glean what the other races would be around.
I could build up some kind of presumptual list, but it wouldn't be 100% accurate. It's easier just to make rough estimates!
To get the stat multipliers, just compare the stats of the HU RA and FO levels to the other levels in the list.

But you were wrong.
Here are the base stats for the level 60 characters. Sorry I don't have them for 50, but since the cap is going to be increased to 60 with the new classes... that won't really matter much! The stats aren't exact due to some rounding up/down, but they're as close as you could possibly hope for.

Useful especially because I was torn between Guntecher and Fortegunner. Those stats help me see what I'll be getting out of each deal before I have to go manually level each one up. Though I'll probably do that anyway~
Even moreso because I had no clue that specific races got bonuses if they play specific class. Despite my history of being a formula/stat junkie.
Fortegunner for the preverbial win~

Guntecher seems to get a raw deal in terms of stats as compared to the Wartecher. Wartechers can use up to level 20 techs, but Guntechers only get 10! They're missing out on all the level 2 buffs.

So can I get an exact comparison of the base stats for both a Beast and CAST Fortefighter at max level / job level?
That'd make my life simpler.
Sei Aynite
11-23-2006, 09:08 AM
I've stumbled upon some interesting information. The more I looked over this data provided by the PSU Wiki... the more it just plain didn't add up. The stats were much, much lower than they should have been.
In fact, upon closer inspection a level 60, rank 10 Fortefighter has the same HP value as a rank 10 Hunter does according to the formulas we've been given. This is incorrect.
The presumed rate of growth, which is constant for each of the races, should bring a Beast Male hunter within the 4300 HP range as a level 10 Fortefighter at level 100, and this just wasn't happening from what I was seeing. This and all of the other values seemed much lower than they should have been.
I played with the numbers quite a bit, and they came up almost exact when I added the multiplier not to the base stats of a race, but to the basic type in the case of Fortefighter.
It might take a minute to drink it all in, but it does make quite a bit more sense. After all, if it were going off of just the base stats using the current suggested system, when you hit your advanced job you would weaken considerably and revert to your base stats, often losing much more in the case of certain stats that are automatically reduced below their 100% value.
As an example, a Male Beast hunter at level 60(provided he hadn't leveled Fortefighter at all) switching to Ff would have his HP reduced to 1644. That's less HP than I have on my 50 Beast Hunter! That can't be right.
Therefore, in order to make sense of all of this... the base stats cannot be what the advanced types go off of. There's just no way.

So what youre saying, is the expert classes stat bonuses stack with the basic classes? Because Ive never seen anything on that. Reason I say is because it just wouldnt make sense. Especially for the hybrid classes, because it would make them extremely weaker than the main classes. For example, a lvl 10 fortefighter gets a 130% bonus to hp, and a lvl 30 hunter gets a 130% bonus to hp. Therefore, they would be the same hp.
I see how you got your numbers because you took the class bonuses and added them up to the bonuses the hunter got. I know they are expert classes, but I dont think they are meant to be THAT much stronger, know what I mean? Also, i think the main thing about expert classes is the type of weapons they can use, and skills. Know what I mean?

That's the list I was looking at before, and it is incorrect.
Look at the differences between the stats of a level 10 hunter and a level 10 Fortefighter.
No difference in HP, and next to no difference in even their primary stats; 20 extra ATP? That's nothing at all.
In fact, according to those stats the only way to even be on par with a rank 10 hunter in terms of ATP as a Fortefighter is to be rank 8; getting to rank 8 Ff takes six times as many mission points as getting to rank 10 on Hunter. It would be ludicrous have lower stats for that amount of time, and your only reward would be higher rank equipment and PA's. In the beginning, even with the best A ranks you would still be weaker than if you just stuck with your B's as a Hunter. Doesn't add up!

A lvl 10 hunter gets 130% bonus to HP and 125% bonus to atp.
A lvl 10 fortefighter gets 130% bonus to HP and 128% bonus to atp.
That's why it is so close.

I am not trying to be a jurk or anything becuase i know this is alot of work but in the "Points to next level" part for "expert classes" it takes like 750 from 4->5 then 1500 for 5->6 that 750 again for 6->7...? Just want to make sure thats right because it reads a little funny, and i have said it befor and will again really awesome work on this thread tho, thanks.

That is correct sir. I admit, its a lil funky, but hey. I didnt write the code for this game. I guess they wanted to give you a small break for one lvl or something. Who knows eh?

No prob.
Btw, I added the stat bonuses a lvl 10 basic job gives you so you can compare them to the advance job you decide to use. I couldnt find the info for stats from lvl 1-9, but lvl 10 I guess is good enough to at least give you an idea.

You guys just dont know how good 30 melee PA is compared to 20
It makes some PA's do alot more damage, you cant get that last part of the combo if you only have 20
Like the spear PA for example, im talkinga bout the AE one on offline mode
With 20 melee it just hits twice, its alot like the sword pay we have on online mode, with 30 it gets TWO extra hits on it
20 Melee = 650, 670
30 melee = 680, 690, 720 x2
Not to mention the PA has more damage and accuracy and then you got A rank weapons, so yes going fortefighter is a very significant increase in damage than staying a hunter

Of course it did, this thread is badas.s! It's about time it got stickied too.
BTW Alpha, why are you laughing that this got stickied? It has like, ALL the info about expert classes and then some. Are you upset that your post didnt get stickied even though you asked like 20 times? Maybe if half your post wasnt all about different abbreviations of this game, when people dont use those anymore, except hardcore PSO vets, it might had had a chance.
Either way, this is one awesome thread. And I for one am very happy about it.

Question:Will a character be able to play multiple expert classes?
Also, I could be mistaken but I thought Figunner had more Sranks, this is according to a post from PSO-world...

Thanks for the complement.
Q1. Yes, you can play multiple expert classes, itll be the same as using basic classes in terms of going to the guild and changing them.
Q2. Nope, Figunner can only use 5 types of S rank weapons.

I was simply laughing bc it hadnt been up long before it was stickied. And truly, to add to what I said before, I dont really care that much if MINE is stickied or not. If the mods dont think it is important enough then that is fine with me.

this depresses me so much, it'll take 8 times longer to get an expert class to 10 then a normal class. Well, not that long, considering you'll be powered up somewhat significantly...at a small cost. But still...8000...I can't help but shudder under such a large number.
But, it would be nice to have something not everyone will max out in a few weeks. Maybe. So you can actually be proud of being rank 10.

This is obviously a useful and awesome post, lemme say that.
One puny thing though - can fortetechers really get level 30 techs/30 bullets? It's only 30techs/10bullets right?
If I'm wrong about that I'd be overjoyed to have someone correct me, otherwise you might wanna make a tiny edit.
Again, nice post to all who have contributed!

Dumb question, but are these bonuses retroactive?
IE, if I'm Character Level 30 and then become a Lv10 Hunter, do the Lv10 stat bonuses apply only to further level ups, or my stats overall?

I don't know if these lists were based on the JP versions or if some jobs/races differ, but on Xbox360 I kept track of the mission points I earned as a Human level 1 Fighgunner and at 148 MP I was dead at the center of the exp/level bar, which would make my level 2 at 300 MP (not 400).

Hey everyone, ive played PSO for i dont know how long, and im really looking forward to PSU (even with all the critics) and i've been browsing info on the expert classes but..... except for stats, there ain't much to chew on!
Can anyone pull off a small description for all the classes? What are they good at, whats their role, what are their strong/weak points... All you can think off ^^
That would be very appreciated, i can see that you have to plan early to have the necessary requirements for each expert class, so i'd like to know before i start what will be my goal!
Thanks!

I just recently started this game as a human, and am rank 2 in Hunter. I was thinking about aiming to be a Protranser, since they seem to be an offensive jack-of-all-trades in weapons and stats, plus they can effectively use traps. What are your opinions on the class?

Forte classes do have reduced Photon Arts. For example most beginning Skills for Fortefighter drop from 18 to 14(Spear, Twin Saber, Twin Daggers, etc). But around Level 3 Forte classes usually start catching up to beginning Jobs, although some meaningless stats to a certain job never recover.

like Yokho I carry the same experience and familiarity with PSO and I'm making my conversion over to PSU.
Ive looked over all the charts on the expert classes but I still don't understand how they work.
Do you receive bonuses in becoming an expert class?
I like to use "force" heh. So for my expert class I would chose fortetecher?
Are expert classes real names? For example instead of being called a Hunter, Ranger, or Force would you be considered one of the following expert classes? (If you where to check your Status would it say the expert class name)

Actually I think I'm going to unsticky this. The OP hasn't updated since a month after the game's release here and the classes weren't even out on our side yet (only in Japan). There have been many rebalances since then as well as the addition of the Acro classes. Until there is a rewrite or someone does a new guide, there is a great deal of info at this link:
http://psupedia.info/Types
I think the original point of this topic was as a preview for the expert classes based of the original release of them in Japan, but obviously things have changed since then and it's quite outdated.
