It is definitly living up to the hype... One thing in particular is the cutscenes... The graphics are nothing revolutionary but the dialog and animation is absolutly perfect... No cheesy cliched story line feed ins... The quality is almost that of a well directed movie... Its the complete oposite of the majority of action games from japan with poor voice overs and acting..

The in game graphics are excelent.... Way better than sons of liberty on PS2... It really takes advantage of the more powerful hardware..

The gameplay is also solid (no pun intended).. Ive only gotten a tiny bit through the game but even already ive noticed alot of little things that have been added to the game... Mostly ambient, for example when your in a level with a top camera view looking down through some rafters, you may see some mice running up and down them... its a nice touch.. and in intense moments that movment over in the corner can startle you a bit..

Twin Snakes is one game everyone needs to play regardless if youve played the original games already or not.. Twin snakes has perfectly merged the great story line of the original games as well as very good modern graphics... If you havent played the other games.. DEFINITLY start the series off with twin snakes... the previous games are officialy obsolete..

I went to KB Toys.. couldn't find it then I went to Best Buy....they don't have it yet and then finally I went to Gamestop and they had TS but I forgot to bring my idea so they wouldn't sell it to me. I had to go back all the way home just to get my id so I can purchase the game. I agree with some of you. This game kick's a**. Like somebody else said the grapichs aren't revolutionary but the cut-scenes are the best.

personally, after playing a REAL simulated STEALTH game like SPlinter Cell, MGS is seemingly outdated, so updated graphics and good cut-scenes doesnt make it better, i will just play Pandora Tomorrow than play a remake from 2 generations ago......LOL.....again, it's just my opinion, dont take offense......

Hmm...Is that really your opinion? When is the last time you had a positive opinion on anything Nintendo related?

hey xteboy, you gonna be playing pandorra tomorrow online? if so, we'll meet up there for sdome multiplayer action.

as well, trying to stay on topic here, I will give this game a go for sure as Metal Gear solid was ne of my FAVORITE ps games ever. I enjoyed the resident evil remake so the fact that this is a remake doesnt hurt it at all.

With all do respect to Splinter Cell, REAL doesn't always equate to "MORE FUN and "ENTERTAINING". Splinter Cell is more STEALTH than it is ACTION I'll give it that. But I've always been more of an ACTION gamer, and since gameplay has been UPDATED and UPGRADED for MGS that reason alone for me I why I too will be getting the Twin Snakes. Oh and BTW xteboy, MGS is from 1 generation ago.

No, i think you ave remakes and ports mixed up.... Remakes are a complete Remake of the game often featuring alot of new content... Its ports that are boring...

No, i think you ave remakes and ports mixed up.... Remakes are a complete Remake of the game often featuring alot of new content... Its ports that are boring...

Remakes = The same game with new "improved" engines, and if your lucky some extra content.

Enhanced versions = Same game with slightly better graphics, more content then original.

Port = Same exact game, unchanged, released at a later time.
