Wether you kids want it or not, the world is already controlled by computers. Everything from banks, wall street, financial transactions of all sorts, macrobusinesses, microbusinesses, internet, information, everything already depends on computers. Oh and by the way you have watched the matrix once too many times.

OK, to get things clarified, what computers does Microsoft make? (and don't say XBox, that doesn't count.) Microsoft doesn't make any computers, they just make operating systems. If you don't like Microsoft and don't like Windows, then there are alternatives. You can run Linux on your PC, or you can buy an Apple. Myself, I've been using Windows for about 10 years, starting with Win 3.1. Currently, I'm running Win XP Pro. I like Windows and Win compatible PC's. I don't understand the hate people have for Microsoft and Bill Gates. Just because he's rich and his company is profitable, everybody is so jealous.

nothing wrong with a world run by computers... everyday life will be much more convenient and efficeint... Possibly disgustingly convenient.... The day will come where there are automatic human feeding machines, where you wont even have to feed yourself. Its inevitable if our civilization does indeed survive that long into the future.. It will even get to a point where human beings will be reduced to little more than brains and no real functional limbs, enclosed in mechanical bodies that operate directly from the brains direction. Its called evolution. The human body will slowly change to adapt to its environment making use of its body as efficiently as possible. When we finaly do create machines that do most tasks for us, a few million years later me might lose our arms and legs due to lack of purpose.. You think male balding is a genetic problem?? nope, its evolution... After thousands of years of humans staying primarily indoors, the human gene pool has decided that hair on top of the head is no longer necissary... Give it another 2000 years human beings will be hairless...
In the very distant future, this planet WILL be inhabited by half human half mechanical beings, as sci fi as it sounds, it will happen... OR at some point we may just figure out a way of developing AUTHENTIC AI, where artificial brains actually surpass the intelegence of organic ones, and at some point we may be killed off, and the planet could be over run by intelegent "bots".... I know, sci fi right?? well where do you think sci fi movies get the inspiration?? It may have even already happened... in the future... You see, what if all these "UFO" sightings are just time travilers from the future visiting the past (present)?? These mechanical beings may already exist within this universe in a parallel time path... There are plenty of "out there" things in this universe, just not alot of open minds.. There are hyroglyphics in egypt that shockingly and accuratly depict the modern blackhawk helicopter.. Land masses that once had surfaces on earth are now sunken below the earths oceans, most likly contained other civilizations that we know NOTHING about, including atlantis... Whos to say that we even ARE the most advanced civilization to grace this planet... The romans were shockingly advanced. They had incredible architecture that WE were only capable of a couple hundred years ago, this was thousands of years ago... Surgical insturments are being excavated that are very advanced... Appearantly some appear to be designed to perform very advanced surgeries of the brain and heart.. I mean really, we are just about the same as the romans only with electricity and maybe a couple hundred years of technology having had the electricity. Had the romans figured out electricity, who knows how advanced they might have become... If only the romans werent killed out, we might have been able to build on the technology they had already aquaired 4000 some odd years ago and be that much more advanced today... Instead of having to figure all this stuff out for ourselves.. Just imagine....

I was at the airport recently and you know how you go into the parking lot theres a machine that hands you a ticket so when you leave the airport you hand the person at the stales the ticket and then you pay them, well now there machines there that except the money and opens the gates for you to leave, there were about 5 stales of the machines and maybe 2 or 3 stales with people receiving the money for the parking. Not that this is big news our anything but i was quite amazed how far technologies has grown and is also talking peoples jobs if you think about it, but in sense save companys alot of money 8)

The human race won't live long enough for that to happen...I doubt the human race will last another 150 years

It always seems like were on the brink of apocolypse, but everything always works out... Take the cold war for example. You think things are tense now?? go ask your grandfather... How would you like to live in a world where your constantly worried a nuke is going to land on your neighborhood and you will just instantly die and not even know what hit you... Just living every day life knowing in the back of your mind that at any time it could all just end in a massive flash.. Thats when you can talk about the demise of our civilization... Now, ehh, what really... Iraq.. big deal (in comparison)... Terrorism?? sure its a problem, if its not stoped there will be random small scale attacks for a long time, but its not going to wipe human beings off of the planet... There is a difference between us and the romans... At the time of the Roman demise, they were still in the process of expanding and conquring... Westerners have a pretty solid grip on the world these days. There is no instability within the core of our society.. Only hickups... The only problem is, although the society we live in is quite stable, it may not be the way all of us may choose to live our lives... Nobody asked me before i was born if i wanted to be an american. Its not fair in alot of ways. In order to even get by in this society you need to meet certain requirments. You cannot eat if you dont have money. You cannot have money if you dont have a job. You cannot have a job that pays enough to live on if you dont have somewhat of an education. You cannot have an education if you dont have money. Who are these people who decide whats allowed?? Who are these people who draw imaginary lines all over this planet and make everyone who lives within these boundries follow certain rules. Who are these people who claim areas of the planet as thier possessions? Who are these human beings that think they are in some position to tell another human being what to do? We are nothing but an energy source as a people... When your born in this country you have no choice but to join a very structured society, in which you work the majority of the day earning money but a good portion is confiscated by the government to use at thier own disposal. We are little more than batteries to the large machine we know as the USA. And those of us who choose not to participate are the people you see outside sleeping on the street... This country CAN be great for some people who are willing to live very linear lives. These are the people shouting rah rah rah USA USA, "i have my house, I have my car, I have my job" woopdy doo! There is potentialy so much more to life than that... Take buhdist monks for example. They seem to have a much more profound view of life than we do, and its because they have TOTAL freedom, not the watered down version we have.... Its amazing to me how millions of people in this country are just so ignorant to thier own surroundings and have no idea just how sad and wrong this all is..
