After posting about how the game sucks, I gave it another chance, and after 5 hours of 6 on 6 battles, I can't help but love the game again. Sure it was annoying when the game froze right as I blew up the last hound, but in the end, the pros out weigh the cons. I perfected my hound, and now taking out 4 hounds in one charge has me grinning like a demented camel :)
Even with all the fualts in the war, I really enjoy all the cool coordination, and the organized charges. Even though the war is unbalanced, people need tos top complaining. If you rally feel like a defenseless ant, then accept that the game is a two nation war now, and join one of the two even nations. I know people love sticking with a nation, but good lord, if you would rather post 50 topics a day about how unfair the game is then just switch nations, then you have serious problems.
Good luck Sal Kar, but all and all, you guys died, and you can blame it on selling enormous ammounts of copies to the north and west, and not enough int he east :)

I honestly can't say war victories mean much to me. I mean, it's on everyone's shoulders in the war effort, and not everyone is a gung-ho 24/7 frenzy gamer. I haven't played much the last two wars, and then there are times when I play for a really long time if there's nothing going on that day.
War victories or defeats don't mean much, as long as I'm having fun with my squadmates in the squad battles, I could careless what we capture and what we don't. Steam roll my capital, I don't care. =]

Agreed. My unit's a mercenary unit. We fight for money, and our own glory. We don't really give a crap about who wins a way.

And honestly, most people that play this game probably feel the same way as you, and there is nothing wrong with it.
Most people just play this game to play with their squad, I think the very small minority (and probably the majority of people that post on this forum) of overall players really care about the war. The rest just care about the game.

well, it is cool when you see all tarakian flags when you log in, but in the end, it's true, my squad could be fighting for our own capital and I wouldn't mind. We just have fun, and try tow in, but we don't live and die aboout it.

Are you suggesting Sal Kar would do better if SEGA marketed the game better in the Middle East and Asia? What the????!?

#1 i think its funny that people expect the nations in the game to relate to nations in the real world. sega created a game that has a real world feal and a plausable FICTIONAL time peroid. the key word is FICTIONAL. that means that SAL-KAR IS NOT REALLY BACKED BY THE CHINESE OR ANY OTHE REAL NATION. this is a game people.
#2 the only problem i have with the war is that no one really cares, and thats nbot really a problem but if this is the case and how the war ends up being then honestly... there shouldnt be a war, squad on squad merc combat sounds good to me. so i say fix the wars to they mean something or jsut get rid of it so people stop crying.

well my squad actually cares but i mean we are a group of online gamers that play all games and we started from a small group on halo and have grown to a clan of 50 plus members we actually play the game and other games as a military based unit. We strive for excellence through teamwork. Not only do we play to win but we have fun so if any of you want to be with a group of guys that play to win and still have fun apply to our clan on chrome hounds, halo 2, or battlefield

I don't want to come off as some guy whining because everyone is anti american, but think about it. No one was a member of Tarakia until July 11th. The majority of Sal Kar is asian, with several Americans and everything as well. Tarakia is mostly Americans with some from otehr nations. Now the reason Morskoj dominates so much is that it has a bunch from every part of the world.
I'm not saying that Sal Kar is losing because asians don't buy the game, and because Sal Kar is based on the Middle East and Asia, then it must be why they are losing. I'm saying that the bulk of Sal kari forces are not from America. And since they're a lot of Americans playing the game, that hasn't helped Sal Kar. This of course isnt't the only reason Sal Kar is getting destroyed though. One of the main reasons is that once Morskoj started owning Sal Kar, everyone took off.
P.S. I'm not saying sega needs to market the game better, I'm saying it''s a fact that not that many Xbox 360s were sold in Asian countries.
If this came off racist in any way, then go head and kick me in the balls, because I'm really not racist at all.

And where are you getting your information exactly? I love everyone's baseless speculations like Morskovian are all Japanese and therefore they take all their territories in the middle of the night. Whatever! We have no information on gamer location by CH nation do we? There are north americans in every CH nation, ditto with asians, ditto with um everybody. How it actually breaks down only sega or microsoft probably know for sure.

it seemed kinda obvious. I mean, think about it.

That would be obvious if people followed patterns...the thing is you're making it based on race and not individuals.
People don't join Sal Kar because they see the size, or its loss of territory...but people also join Sal Kar because they see its size...and they realize that they can fight more and easier if they join because there's more enemies.
So the people looking for a challenge join Sal Kar in my opinion. And that includes plenty of Americans.
But the variety of maps goes more with Tarakia and Morskoj.
Besides...the Middle East and the Far East are 2 completely different areas...there is no real Far Eastern country in Neroimus...And I doubt an extreme majority in the Middle East play video games.

Ummm...I live in North America and I play Sal Kar.
You know what I heard, and this is just rumour, The United States is actually backing all nations in this war. They are supplying technology to Sal Kar that's why the Sal Kar tech level is so high. It was also announced that the other countries are really backed by Saddam so if you are really patriotic you should switch. If you don't switch then the American government is going to write your name on a list and record what you buy at the grocery store. You will be labelled and for ever watched...so you better switch.
This is only a game people!!!!! You can play whichever nation you want...it's all make believe. You are not showing patriatism by playing a country in pretend land. You are not fighting terrorists when you fight against Sal Kar. you are not aiding war efforts of you your nation....you are still a just fat guy sitting on your couch with orange, dorito stained fingers and lint in your belly button.

You can't deny the similarities... Dessertey feel for Sal-Kar while being backed by "eastern" nations, that are "high-tech" (Japan). The stereotypical Russian/Soviet accents for Morskovians. And Tarakia just screams America, it's a DEMOCRACY. WHOA!
As for anything else, Iuono.

Usually I choose USA when I play games, but tactically speaking, I chose Sal Kar in this game, because I wanted to try the underdog out. If my side can pull off the impossible-defeating either of the other sides, then those of you whom are defeated by us will have realized how superior we really were. Many squad battles we have won--my squad, because we are pulling off the right tactics. We are a small squad as of yet--we haven't been able to get more than three of us online at once, so we can't do 6 on 6 battles yet, but we are trying to grow and with our growth we intend to get some serious reputation along the way. We are good players with good attitudes. Our squad insignia is pretty decent looking and our squad name is (Shadow.Serpents). We'd be happy to have you along. Send me a friend invite and ask me to see about getting you into our squad. Our leader is named CoG FatCat. You can check with him too.
