OOC: Okay this is a story which will mix Final Fantasy with Phantasy Star Universe (And alot of other references too) It will work like this, five planets interlinked by two different kinds of transport.

The first kind is Final Fantasy's classic 'Airship' whereas the second is Phantasy Star Universe's futuristic transports.
Obviously these two games are seperated by huge technological differences and so I will try my best to mix the medieval style of FF with the futuristic feel of PSU in a kind of Discworld feel (Don't know if anyone has read those novels, if not then discount that last part, also its worth noting i'm no Terry Pratchett :P although I am British lol)

There's not much else to say really, except enjoy my story.

IC: Imagine, if you will, a quaint and picturesque village. The buildings are made from Par ebon and Neu wood (The planet of Ogaah has a good trading system with all three planets within the Gurhal system, although Moatoob's wood tends to be a little too 'tough' to be able to minipulate).

It is one of these houses where a past hero lives. Thirty years ago he came here, although he still does not know how he arrived here even to this day, he simply woke up on the beach bewildered and ten years older.
He settled right in (Once he realised there was no work for mercenaries around here that is) and after five years got married to a local woman named Lucia and retired to their farm on the beach (Mostly growing seaweed in the shallows, not much point in a farm on a beach I always thought, except the views of course) They had a son and called him (Very imaginatively) Sun. Sometimes though the retired hero would sit and gaze out to the sea, still trying to grasp how one minute he had been facing off against three very angry Shinra assassins and the next minute (Ten years?) He had woken up on the beach in this beautiful and ripe land ten years older.

He was having one of those moments now, sat in the old wooden rocking chair (Funnily enough this was made out of Mot Wood) gazing off into the sea and thinking whilst inhaling deeply on his pipe.
He was old now, early sixties maybe (He had lost track of his exact age when he had been dropped off here thirty years ago) His once spiky blonde hair was now grey and hung limp by his ears, the odd tuft here and there sticking up as though reluctant to let go of the past. His once magnificent blue eyes now dull and, if looked at from the right angle, almost looked grey themselves.

He becomes lost in his thoughts, memories of grand fights and... His thoughts are broken as he hears a voice emerging from the house behind him "Dad, dinners up!" He smiles to himself as he remembers what he has now and the smell of his wifes cooking drifts through the door to him, he raises slowly off the chair, picks up his walking stick and limps back into the house, closing the door behind him.

All this is watched from a short distance away, a short stumpy man his hidden behind a bush olong the golden sands of the beach. Do not be decieved by his appearance, mrg!loah is a highly respected assassin from the land of peyro-rouge (A rough and tough continent situated on the other side of the planet) Once he realises he's safe to move he scurries up the beach quickly and climbs up onto the porch where the rocking chair is. He looks through the small window next to the door and see's three people.

As already mentioned, Cloud is in his early sixties (Go on then if you really must know, he's 63 to be exact but remember he does not know this) however his senses are still 21 and he hears the whistling sound through the air coming towards the table, no... towards his son (Who just happens to be leaning over his dads shoulder at this paticular moment dishing up the dinner) Cloud pushes his chair back which knocks Sun out of the way, the poison dart (Tipped with the posion of various creatures of Moatoob) sticks into Clouds neck, mrg!loah curses from the window, puts his dart shooter away and scurries off back down the beach where one of the transporter's from the Gurhal system is coming into land.

Sun and Lucia are kneeled next to Cloud, the posion is working its way through his body very quickly, he looks up at his wife and says "I love you" then turns to his son and, for a split second, he is 20 again, his eyes are of the brightest blue and his hair blonde and spiky, then its gone and he is just an old man once more, but his eyes speak volumes as he whispers to his son "Do not... Go after... them. For... Get this... Do not... try to... be... a... hero."

Cloud dies, Lucia cries and Sun...

two hours have passed, Lucia is trying to tell the guards what happened, but she is in a state of absolute shock. Sun on the other hand is far away, at the docks of Meil (A large port city some twenty miles away from his home village) he carries a familiar sword, a sword from long ago in another universe. It is his fathers sword.

He does not know who to look for, all he knows is he cannot follow his fathers final words, he must find who done this and make them pay.
He hears a noise behind him and, when he turns he see's three heavy built men staring at him intently.

It may be worth noting at this point that Sun had begged his father to train him with a blade most of his life, but Cloud had never given in. Eventually Sun grew older and lost interest in it, he now wished that he had persisted.

"You know how to use that thing kid? Why don't you hand it over like a good boy and we may decide to let you go."
Sun drew the blade eagerly, it gleamed even in the darkness of the docks. He unsheathed it, raised it high above his head and then... dropped it. It made a dull clunk as hit the ground flatly, this of course sent the three thugs into a laughing fit. Sun just stood there sheepishly, rubbing his sprained wrist.

Then something began to happen, the dock suddenly became very windy and wet (Which of course is not unusual for a dock, but it became extrememly wet even by dock standards) The three man were now gazing past Sun and looking straight out to sea, where what appeared to be a tidal wave of sorts was heading straight towards them at incredible speed.

Sun saw the gaze of the three thugs and turned around reluctantly, he froze. He did not scream, he did not cry or turn and run, he simply froze. What happened next is a blur...

What had actually happened was (In-terms of Science) scientifically improbable. It had happened however, hang on this may get a little... rough.

In another Universe ten years in the future and fifty years in the past something magnificent has just happened on a sole and far-away land...
Spira cannot really be called a planet since the technology of the day makes it impossible for anyone to know if its round. Some actually speculate that Spira is simply a flat 'slab' of sorts that floats through space, never actually exisiting in a single Universe but just being there.

Of course thats all nonsense, Spira is a planet (Although it is certainly not a planet as in the giant circular 'rock' that most people would expect a planet to be) but regardless what Spira is and isn't is a story for another time, its the events that are happening on the surface of Spira what are important.

A group of unlikely 'heroes' are on a ship, not a flying ship but a sailing ship. And something huge (Which has been called 'Sin') is attacking the ship. If we rush through these events a little, they eventually drive Sin away. 10 minutes later it will arive at a small fishing village built mostly on water and destroy it, however in that space of time (That sentence actually does not make sense since there is no space in ime, nor is there time in space) Sin is transported to a completely different universe and ?time?

The reason for this is because somewhere on another Universe some failed wizard called Rincewind has just fallen off the edge of the world, but thats not my story.

Sin is now miraculously on the planet of Ogaah heading towards Meil docks very quickly indeed (In-fact if Sin had not being going so quickly it would have stopped and looked around bewildered before continuing) The three thugs had ran, Sun couldn't run, couldn't do anything because he was completely frozen on the spot.

Sin powerful gravitation pull (Which was more powerful than usual since Rincewind the wizard had now stopped falling off the edge of the world which meant he was not dead which meant the Gods now had to reverse the effects of changing history because once more that idiot failed wizard Rincewind had cheated Deah and Fate, which basically meant that already things were being forced back to reality and so Sin was slowly been transported back to Spira in another Universe and time which meant everything caught in its pulling power was also being pulled into another Universe and time)

Sun was whipped off his feet and sucked into Sin along with alot of ships and debris. What happens next i'm not even sure of, and i'm the narrator!
However what I do know is that somehow Sin's pull just 'stopped' whilst it was being transported back to Spira, which meant everything it had picked up from Ogaah was dropped into space leaving a long trail of debris falling from nothing into nothing (I say falling from nothing since Sin was actually travelling faster than the speed of light which practically means that whilst it was there one second, a second later it was fifty years 300 years away and 50 years into the future where it landed at the exact spot it had been no more than 5 seconds after it had 'disappeared.'

Sun was falling, he knew that, but falling through space is not like falling off a building or out of a plane. He realised he wasn't suffocating as he had imagined, this was due to the fact that the rules of space had never been written and so they could be bent simply by will (No not a man, willpower) and so it was that Sun fell through space, which technically is nothing, but falling through nothing sounds dull and boring. He slept alot, and when he woke one time he saw a planet looming towards him. Of course there's alot of speculation regarding what would happen if a person entered the atmosphere of a planet, by all rights the person should disintegrate instantly. What happened to Sun was similiar to disintegrating but not quite the same, upon entering the atmosphere of this planet he was liquified.

The difference between being disintegrated and liquified is quite simple, when one is disintegrated all the atoms and stuff that made up the being are scattered everywhere, which makes it almost impossible for the being to ever be put back together again, however when one is liquified they simply turn to several blobs of a thick red liquid (Kind of like blood only thinner than blood because the water in the body replaces the skin and organs) So what happened to Sunupon entering the atmosphere was lucky, since upon leaving the atmosphere as the liquid mass cooled down he began to take on a more human form.

By the time Sun had reached the surface his reassembled brain was trying to put all the pieces back in order, which was proving rather difficult. He had landed on the shore of a large beach, next to a jellyfish (Which was rather amusing since in his present state he sort of resembled one) The jellyfish was not dead although it would be soon, it ?looked? at him suspiciously and then a voice appeared in Suns brain "You're not one of me are you?" Sun's brain ignored it, simply because it did not know how to use telepathy, it focused on putting its body back together, which didn't take long at all surprisingly.

Sun stood up on the beach, his head spun (Not literally, he was all human again now) He remembered falling through space, although he didn't know how long he had actually fallen for (It has already been mentioned that there is no space in time and no time in space, so technically he had not being falling for any amount of time, however if a time was to be put onto his fall then he had been falling for precisely 1456 years. Since space has no time however he had not aged a bit because he had actually been falling for 0.00 time at all)

OOC: OKay thats me done for the timebeing, hope everyone likes it so far, a little eccentric and rather confusing I suppose but thats how I want it :P

Sun wandered along the golden beach, his body had wobbled at first, like an unsettled bowl of jelly, but it had now settles completely back into its human form.

Times like these made Sun hungry (Of course this was not 100% correct since Sun had lived a comfortable and boring life so had never found himself in 'Times like these')

In the distance Sun could make out the silhouette of some rather large buildings against the sunset, he made his way towards them...

Allow me to explain a few things about Sun's dilemma (That he is not yet aware of) Sun has previously never left his home village, he knows nothing of distance except from one end of the village to he other, and so he knows nothing of objects appearing closer than they are. The buildings Sun can see are approximately 1500 marcols away (Which is this paticular planets measuring system) converted into mile's that would be 456.

Of course Sun thinks he will reach there by nighfall, he is absoutely wrong, the truth of it is he will never reach those buildings, observe...

Sun heard the booming sound overhead, gusts of air followed after each 'Boom' sound and he slowly raised his head to look at the sky, what he saw there was about to change his life, forever.

Dragon is a rather inaccurate term, for the word dragon would of course symbollise a large flying creature which breathes fire (As far as that goes its entirely correct) that feed of livestock and only fight against noble knights and dragon slayers to protect themselves, never easting them of course, and they apparently love treasure too.

Most of that is incorrect, these creatures are called Drahggoons. They are huge flying creatures that can breathe fire. They also hate the taste of livestock, feed of innocent humans, kill noble Knights for fun and there is no such thing as a Draggoon slayer. They also burn down entire city's in a matter of seconds for not offering their weekly sacrifice of 3 adults 3 children.

This drahggoon was heading towards the beautiful buildings that Sun had spotted, there was a flash of octarine light, then there was nothing. The dragon turned on its tail, flew over Sun's head giving him an odd look as it did and then disappeared behind a large mountain. Sun turned back to where the buildings had been, there was nothing.

The huge Drahggoon called Valkirk landed hard on the top of the mountain, issuing a short yelp as he sprained his ?wrist?
Another drahggoon named Ledia slowly emerged from the large cave buried deep into the mountain side. Observe their exchange...

"You took you're time Val"
"I care not for you're mannerisms Ledia" He tried to skulk past her, a sharp slice with her claws along his flank told him that was not a good idea.
"You're all the same you noble's, you go and get cursed by a witch or wizard then wander the landscape alone and afraid until Mooch picks you up, more fool him."
Valkirk shook his head violently "I have no intention of staying in this hideous being, and when I am turned back into the noble Knight I once was I will hunt you and slay every last one of you"
Ledia laughed, then disappeared back into the cave, Valkirk did not follow.

The sun rose on Ogaah, and Sun himself rose with it. It is said by some that mankind try and complicate everything, from the stars and the moon to the tainted land (Tainted by man himself) However Sun has lived a comfortable and somewhat simple life and so knows nothing really of complication, so the sight he now see's before him does not worry him in the slightest.

A troll is a creature with large tusks where its horns should be and horns where its tusks should be, its mind is the size of a peanut with the thinking power of a rock, after a troll dies it takes its brain nearly a full minute to catch up. They have four large eyes spread out on their forehead and usually come at you wielding some sort of simpleton weapon like a club or... a club? Regardless three of them were now ambling towards Sun awkwardly, Sun went through a stage of 3 emotions at this point, first was surprise since he had only ever heard of trolls in story books and the description he had been given seemed very accurate indeed. The second was fear and the third was anger, directed at himself for never learning to wield a sword, instead he turned and ran...
