most of you may have known, I got the 9700 (I arrive in the mail today) and that's a 8X card, but my motherboard only support 4X :x
I havent install it yet, becuase I don't want to risk screwing up the card since until some one that knows allot about computer stuff to tell me its ok and I need some reasonable post with thoughts.
Thanks in advance.

8X AGP is 2.1GB/sec, which is twice as fast as 4X AGP...The Radeon 9700 supports 2X/4X/8X..Have fun :D

all agp cards and buses are reverse and forward comaptible.. a 2x card will work happily in an 8x slot and an 8x card will work happily in a 2x slot just a little slower :)
