I'm reading alot about the PS3 and the only two bits of info that I can find is that it will have some kind of "Cell Technology" that is capable of running one PS2, and that the PS3 will have multiple "Cells" in there.
The second bit of info I got is that Sony may be switching from DVD to the Blu-Ray disk, that is capable of holding 50 GB! My HDD doesn't even hold 50 GB!
This has to be some expensive stuff don't you think? I would not be suprised if the system costed around 400-500 bucks while the games cost an extra 10 bucks. Sony already has M$ killed and they haven't done anything yet. I just hope nothing is too expensive.

Cell technology is based off PowerPC and so will N5 and Xbox2, but its central chip will be Cell.
Cell's central design is one main chip with a bus that connects to 8 CPUs, thats what it is. IBM often come to my school, this is as far as i know.
Blue Ray, Nintendo is going to use it almost 100 percent sure, since the disc is small. thing is, if Blue Ray never goes public it can never get copied, there will be less piracy, and because your home computer never needs that much, most of us dont even have DVD yet. so its a good idea, making it small like GCN disc would be more perfect, since it can decrease another level of piracy.
it will be around 300 bucks, IBM is helping Sony to build their own fab lab, which means they can produce chips on their own, limited amount tho, its only 90mm wafer, IBM and intel has 300mm already =), but Sony is paying IBM a lot of money for the technology, so Sony will be cutting a lot of production fee, of course sony's fab lab wont be able to produce the amount they want so they have to go ask IBM for help, and IBM charges again. it still helps Sony to cut their production cost.
exclusives? 3rd party wont arrive on time, and Nintendo will come up with everything they got, Nintendo made mistake twice and they are not gona do it again, Microsoft, on the other hand, will also do the same if they want to survive. but Sony have enough fanbase to cover some market during release
