i just use the one in the google toolbar. only problems is a few sites that require popups, but you just click the button on the toolbar and that site will allow popups.
plus you have access to google search right on your browser

These popups are spawning from IE while you're using Mozilla? There's no doubt you've been hit with some popup spyware. Internet Explorer is a megnet for that stuff.Get Spybot S&D from http://security.kolla.de and Adaware. That should fix the problem.

I don't use Mozilla myself, but I think it has a pop up blocker built in. You need to set it up in your preferences. Here's a FAQ that should tell you how.

I know about Mozilla's pop up blocker, but I don't get popups from there. I get them from INTERNET EXPLORER, a completely different browser.

Yes...get Google Popup blocked like I stated in the previous post. It works great with IE.

I use Absolute Shield Internet Track Eraser 3 (there is a lite version that has some of the advanced features disabled, recommended for those who don't want to spend money) because there is a pop-up blocker and you can clean all track of you on the internet, even those in the infamous "hidden folders". Sometimes though I manually remove them just to make sure it didn't miss anything which it hasn't yet.

That's correct. It comes with a built in popup blocker enabled by default. It blocks popups that are executed by page loading scripts. But it doesn't block popups related to buttons or links on pages. So you'll never have to worry about taking down your popup blocker (or holding ctrl and clicking for the Google Toolbar) when a page says "click here for more info (page loads in a new windows)" It has all the convenience without removing functionality from the browser.
