Is your Gamecube less than 30 days old? Did you purchase the aditional warranty? If so, then let the store worry about it and get yourself a replacement. Taking it apart on your own is the last thing you want to do if it's under warranty. But you don't have much to lose if it's not. If you're really going along with this, try to Google some further advice. And always make a diagram on where screws go and keep different screws separated (I prefer those 7-day pill holders with separate compartments for each day).

You can buy those tools at a Radio Shack, or Bestbuy. Use a vaccume and blow in the vents through the other side. Make sure you keep you system off the carpet, because it will over-heat and not work. Good Luck!

Wait!!!!!!!!! You MUST and I enunciate,MUST minimize all static from you and any surface it is on (not a carpet!!). You can discharge your static by touching a metal appliance before you take it apart. If you don't, static may fry the gamecube.

You do know that sometimes Nintendo will try to repair it, and sometimes if things are impossible, they will give you a refurbished one. You might even get one for $30 if you play your cards right.
