Man, or Parasite?
Chapter One
Davey's brow was covered with sweat. He whipped a Hanzo out of his nanopack, and quickly swallowed the nutritious fluids in his trimate, feeling completely revitalized. He leaped into the air, and shoved the blade of his sword into the neck of the De Ragnus with three front-flips. A loud rumble and a quake of earth later, and it fell. Davey stabbed its eyes with his Crimson saber, and smiled. He finally killed it alone, after about a three hour fight, he slew the horrific two-headed dragon. He sat on its neck, looking for a nice piece of scale to rip off as proof of his victory. A veteran Wartecher trying out the Fighgunner side of his line of work, Davey looked like someone you'd expect to talk like a well-educated Brit in his red and black Braves Coat with a black Braves ST Pants (Topped with his self-acclaimed 'sexy' beret), but he spoke with a slight Southern drawl.
"I finally killed you, you sonuvagun." He said, laughing as he yanked off a scale. He looked at it, and then went towards the checkpoint crystal. He activated it, and returned to the city. He then hopped on the nearest Spaceport, and in a matter of minutes he was back in his home town, Clyez City. He went to the fifth floor, and talked to Mina.
"Why, hey Davey. You've been gone longer than your teammates were. Policy requires I asked why. Surely you understand?" She said, her light voice a pleasure to Davey's ears. Time to work my magic. Hell, she had a crush on Ethan. Winning her over can't be too hard...
"Hey Mina. I was fighting the De Ragnus. The sonuvagun kicked like a Gol Dova, but it couldn't stand this gun show." Davey stretched just right so that it showed the outline of his arms, which were 'ripped.' Mina, however, wasn't impressed.
"Okay Davey, that totals up about how much meseta to add to your card?"
Davey was disappointed. That worked on everybody else. Or so they said. "That'll give me about twenty thousand. Scientists pay quite a lot, don't they?"
"They were from TENORA Works studying A-Photons at the Denes RELICS so that they can make a new set of weapons."
"So, they won't split the profits of their research?"
"No sir, Davey."
"Odd. Don't they normally share something like that?"
"This seemed top-secret. I fear there will be some hot market competition soon. Watch the stocks, you might fall out TENORA's huge climb if GRM beats them to the punch."
"True. Time to keep it quiet."
"Well, will that be all?"
"Yea. Oh, one thing." He smiled. "Did you get your tickets yet?"
"Tickets? To what?" She asked, hoping he wouldn't say it.
"To the gun show!" He laughed, flexing his muscles. She face-palmed, chuckling. "At least I made you laugh, right?"
"That you succeeded in. It's a good thing I've known you for a few years now, or I would've slapped you."
"Was it that bad?"
"It is when I've heard them all."
With a laugh, Davey left. He exited the Guardians HQ, and was amazed at what he saw.
That's it for this so far. Please PM your reviews, as I want to save this thread for an entire story. It'll be a Bioshock homage, so if you see some similarities, don't chew me out if you start to notice similarities. Thanks for reading!
